Nice pool area and friendly staff. Food was ok if a little repetitive. Our room modern and clean. The bedroom was very dark as it only had 2 bedside lamps so unless you opened the curtains (slight problem when you're in your birthday suit) you couldn't see into the wardrobe! The shower was rather annoyingly temperamental but hey...you're on holiday, who cares!! Overall a very nice 3* hotel.

You get what you pay for!
23 September 2009
We have been to Lanzarote many times , but this was our first time all inclusive there. The accommodation was good although it did feel a little dark as the lighting in the room was poor, maybe this was to disguise the muck in the rooms. On the surface they looked clean but there were some areas that looked liked they had been missed a few times. The staff weren't so keen either on keeping the common areas clean, didn't see them clean the pool once. The bathrooms are also very small and many rooms only have showers (we had a bath) which is not so pratical for a hotel aimed at families.
The food was very average and not much choice, but your ok as long as you like salad and bread you can get by. We actually didn't really go there for the food as we love a lot of the local restaurants. Travelling with a 4 year old can sometimes be expensive with drinks and ice cream so it was perfect for that. Overall we had a great holiday but don't go expecting too much on the food side, but like most things it is down to personal taste.

I think this hotel should be a 4 star ,the staff are very friendly the rooms are lovely and new looking with a modern touch ,bright and spacious, the food is lovely . Its a lovely clean hotel I have been back twice in 2 weeks and plan to go back again ,I would recommend this hotel to families.I have been to other 4 and 5 star hotels on the island and none has been as nice and clean and friendly staff as this one and those who complain are moaners .

I enjoyed my very short one night all inclusive, simply because I hired a bike and cycled to costa teguise and got a good deal...This hotel is very nice for Families with children, apts where very clean, the pool area was busy but alot of sun beds around, the food was nice, though dinner was not very much selection, breakfast and lunch was nice, I found it abit out of the way though from any shops and other resturants, but suppose if you go all inclusive you wont need anywhere else!, personally though i am glad i was only there the night,

10 April 2009
A group of 7 of us have just come back from a weeks stay at this hotel. 4 adults and 2 eleven year olds and a 14 yr old. All had a good time, apartment very clean and comfortable, plenty of room too. Excellant variety of food every day, even at the pool bar. Nice to have drinks in proper glasses in the evenings. All of the outside and bar areas always kept spotless. All staff were lovely. The two eleven yr old boys had a wail of a time playing football etc. 14 yr old enjoyed it too, but felt that a bit more teenage activity could be introduced .
Would reccommend, but take a cardy as very windy

10 April 2009
We were two families, adults in or 40s and children 11 to 14. This hotel was lovely, very clean, nice rooms and great food. The choice at mealtimes is plenty and there must be something that everyone likes. We liked it all! The all-inclusive drinks were also fab. Some cocktails, beer. wine, spirits, liquers ect and the measures were very generous and served in proper glasses not little plastic cups! There are also help-yourself beer, wine and sangria taps in the restaurant and outside bar so you never have to wait for a drink! All in all we loved our holiday, just a shame the wind didn't really die down all week (early April) I'm not sure if that is typical for the island??

Excellent accomodation, friendly staff!!
11 February 2009
We have just come back yesterday feb 10th 2009 and had a terrific time in lanzarote bay, we stayed all inclusive and was not disappointed!! the food was good, a nice variety and not as cold as others mentioned, and the staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and trendy, and the main beach is 15min walk away, but its a great walk, nice scenery. The taxi cost us £15.00 from the airport which is cheaper than booking a transfer, and are readily available outside the exit.. the weather was great for this time of year and i will be definately going back. myself and partner loved it, 1 small note was that the entertainment wasnt great for the 5 nights we stayed, alot more could be done to the theatre hall... they had 2 great acts in 2 nights.. both being acrobats, but other than that, that was pretty much it... fantastic stay, and will be going back with the kids next year... Its worth a 4 1/2 out of 5... enjoy....

Bring back Sandra & Johann
31 October 2008
Like Alison, this was our second stay here, and it was very different. The hotel, rooms, restaurant and facilities are out of this world. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful and the food and drink was phenomenal. Despite all this, the holiday was at best, mediocre, due to the dreadful entertainment staff. Ramon sold bingo tickets in the evening, and called the bingo numbers. I never saw him do anything else at all, and you only saw him through the day at lunchtime when he came to the restaurant. Marco put the lion suit on every now and then and wandered around a bit, and did the kids disco. This consisted of him standing on stage, miming to the music and doing a few actions. The music was the same every night, in the same order. He never asked the kids what they wanted to hear and never played any games with them, in fact, I never heard him speak. Naomi did the kids entertainment, but had her select few. She never once came to our kids, or the kids they were playing with round the pool, and asked them if they'd like to join in. We never knew what the adults activities were or where they met and nobody came to ask us to join in either. This could have been a fantastic holiday but, due to a very poor entertainments staff, was mediocre at best. Last year at (another hotel) we had Sandra and Johann on the entertainments staff, and they were fantastic. They made sure every kid was invloved in the activities, Johann came round the pool every morning and afternoon asking the adults to join in the activities, and every evening they gave out certificates to participants and then had a game to win a bottle of champagne. They were the exact opposite of the staff this time, and they really made our holiday special. If you've got kids, I wouldn't recommend this hotel until they've got a decent entertainments staff. What the Hotetur group need to do is find Sandra & Johann, buy them a car each, treble their wages and beg them to come back to the Lanzarote Bay, otherwise this superb refurbishment has been a waste of time. Like Alison, we won't be going back.

19 August 2008
just back from 2nd stay at lanzarote bay and we had a very different holiday from last year. now 4 star hotel with lots of changes some not for the better. didnt feel they were catering for uk guests at all, lack of entertainment for children during the day unlike last year not much atmosphere, although now very modern and quite clean but it needs an extra touch, bring back the reps from 2007 especially Yohan from Holland was nice to see him back for an evenings cabaret really good fun its what the hotel needs, dont think we will be returning in 2009

08 June 2007
Just got back from two weeks at the Lanzarote Bay, without doubt our best holiday ever! 1st Time all inclusive for us and what a splendid deal it was. Never felt the need to eat out, the food was superb and varied, and there was even a varied menu for my wife who is a vegetarian. The drinks were excellent, (the beer was San Miguel), there was every type of spirit and licqueur you could ask for, and Raul's cocktails were fantastic! The entertainments staff, Adam, Sandra and Manon were superb, and for me, made the holiday what it was. There were activities for the kids and the grown ups as well, and I had the time of my life trying to win a diploma for shooting or archery! The shows in the evening were magnificent and even then, the kids were catered for. The entertainment staff always seemed to be at hand, whatever the time of night or day, and were so friendly and efficient. The bar staff and restaurant staff were amongst the friendliest and most efficient I've seen anywhere, and the Maitre'd was what you would expect of a 5 Michelin star restaurant! Everyone was so helpful and friendly, everywhere was clean and tidy, as soon as it became apparent that something needed fixing, the maintenance staff fixed it. The accomodation was great and had a sea view beyond. We never needed to use the bus to the beach, we found an ideal little sandy cove which was a pleasant ten minute stroll away. All in all, this was a superb holiday for all of us. We made some great friends whilst there, everyone joined in and had a great time. It was so good, I tried to book again for October before we left! The transfers from and to the airport were flawless and efficient, the driver was waiting for us with our name on a board as we collected our luggage, and he was waiting to pick us up from the hotel exactly when he said he would be. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, and the service provided by Alpharooms was exceptional. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and despite not winning a diploma, we all had a fantastic time. Many thanks Alpharooms.

Review of 'HOTETUR LANZAROTE BAY APARTMENTS'
18 December 2006
Really enjoyed it. Our apartment was spacious and clean, the furniture was modern and good quality. The all inclusive deal is great, good and as much alcohol as you like - I recommend it.(Although we only stayed 3 nights - it might be a bit boring for a week to have all your meals in the hotel.) Its a little bit of a walk from the main resort (10 mins) but they provide a complimentary bus service to and from the beach. Very friendly, helpful staff, including a few Nordic girls that could also double up as super-models!

Review of 'HOTETUR LANZAROTE BAY
18 October 2006
We stayed at the Hotetur Lanzarote Bay for seven nights from the 8th October 2006. The hotel is situated in a quiet location about 20 mins walk along the coastal path from Costa Teguise, although there is a free courtesy bus to the beach every half hour for most of the day and a very good bus service that runs to Costa Teguise, Arrecife and Puerto Del Carmen. The rooms are very spacious, infact we had 2 balconies, but it was in need of a lick of paint. The food was excellent with breakfast, lunch and dinner and as much as you can eat. There is also a snack bar next to the pool to fill in the gaps and there was always somebody there. Alcoholic and soft drinks are of quite a good quality available all day until midnight. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms where cleaned every day. This was the first time we had booked with alpharooms and we would certainly have no hesitation in doing it again, we were internet virgins if you like but everything ran very smoothly and I dont know how they do it for the money. The hotel is also only about 15 mins from the airport about 20 euros ( £14 ) in a taxi. The only downside was the number of kids in the place, it is a children friendly hotel but we did think there woundn't be that many there considering they are barely back in school. Also, because of this the evening entertainment tended to be very kids orientated. Overall we probably wouldn't go back to this hotel but if you have kids get youself there its unbelievable value for money, but we would definately BOOK AGAIN WITH ALPHAROOMS they are very competive and efficient, and put you at ease if you feel unsure about booking over the internet.

Review of 'HOTETUR LANZAROTE BAY APARTMENTS'
27 March 2006
Just got back from a week at Lanzarote Bay. Read some varied reports on here, some good some bad.
Overall was a decent 3 start hotel.
Location excellent, quiet and a few minutes walk to centre (there is also a free bus every hour or so but we never used it).
Room, bit basic and showings signs of ageing (frayed covers on settee). Bed was not the most comfortable but ok. Didnt spend that much time in room so who cares.
Pool - A bit cold but fine once in, decent size, clean with a lifeguard present. A seperate kiddies pool. Again a little tired (paint flaking etc) plenty of sun loungers etc.
Food - Usual self service stuff. No problems with anything being cold (if it was there was a microwave around). Enjoyed the food lots of it and pretty good. Each evening there was a roast of some sort.
Service - Excellent everything done with a smile.
IN summary if you want a decent 3* hotel then this should be fine. Enjoy we did.

Review of 'HOTETUR LANZAROTE BAY APARTMENTS'
10 March 2006
I admit to being dubious about this hotel when I read the reviews (after booking) but I was pleasantly surprised. As a mature (not too mature!) lady going on hols with a friend and leaving the children at home I was not looking forward to all the weans (Scottish for children). I need not have worried as the club and amenities kept them busy and probably suitably exhausted to allow their parents quality time if they were not busy with the adult programme. As a nurse I am very (some say too particular) re: cleanliness but I could not fault the hotel from the apartment to the restaurant and pool bar the areas were spotless. The staff were courteous, polite and respectful to all age groups. The hotel was only a 10mins. pleasant stroll either on the flat or slight incline from the beach. 2.5€ taxi, curtesy bus or a 20min walk took you to the main thoroughfare . I defy anyone not to find a suitable meal and I don't eat meat, but if unsuitable an abundance of good local and international retaurants with reasonable prices and choice are within easy reach. On tap fresh water to fill your bottles helps with the empty not so pure drinks from bottles embided in the night before allowing no hangovers more enjoyment time at this hotel. I would say that for all age groups given the proximity of the nightlife (that I was too tired for afer all the food and drink, mixed bottles folks) this deserves a great rating. purely personal opinion from a difficult to please person ( that is what my kids say anyway).

Review of 'HOTETUR LANZAROTE BAY APARTMENTS'
03 March 2006
We stayed at this hotel for Feb half term break. It was a last minute booking and cheap. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - no miserable faces at all! The accommodation was spacious BUT needed updating and modernising - keep this in mind when booking. The pool area again was in need of updating and more daily cleaning would be better. Good entertainment team, day and night with lots to keep adults and kids amused. Food was average for this type and quality of hotel - reasonable choice and selection. Not far to the beach and centre of town - within easy walking distance if needed. Lots of kids about at hotel so don't go if you want a peaceful, romantic break for two!

11 February 2006
The staff are very friendly. The rooms are very spacious with a kitchen. Needed heating in the room as weather was not too good. Food could not fault plenty to choose from. Children were kept occupied during the day and night with the brilliant childrens/entertainment organisers. Adults could enjoy a bit of sport organised by the staff. Only fault was that there was nowhere to go for people with children on the cold nights as the only warm bar was for adults only. Overall has a great holiday and met plenty of nice people.
