Hotel location - 4/5 blocks off Union Square and cable car, so good.
Hotel room fine, big enough, quiet, view poor (back of hotel), also had option for upgrade to newly upgraded rooms - $10 per night, but didn't take this.
Bar facility - good, lively bar, with "happy hour".
Breakfast, basic continental, no hot food, help yourself cold buffet with tea/coffee/juice.
Staff friendly and helpful, Selja on reception was great, cute too!!
Easy access to bars, restaurants, take-aways etc etc.
Other guests also from UK, but also from Oz, and US.
Would recommend to anyone with this kind of budget.
Other tip - get a MUNI 3 or 7 day pass, buses pass this hotel, cable cars are a few blocks away and the passes are a bargain! ($18 for three days!)
