Hotel Sol Reviews

A very spanish hotel. Very clean and friendly. Basic in the extreme. If you want a cup of tea you boil cold water in the microwave! Depends what you expect. Short of staff and never anyone to serve the bar. Come in at 10 at night and the lights are out and a night watchman on duty who speaks no English. Does not cater for uk guests at all. People asking to get moved every day. Paper thin walls. Could not sleep without earplugs.

The Hotel Sol, to which the Estudios Sol are connected was clean, tidy and basic. The food was average and catered for its predominently Spanish guests. The rooms at the Estudios Sol were very basic but fairly clean. However, the beds were not changed at all during our stay despite the rooms being cleaned daily. The walls were very thin, good ear plugs required! The position of the studios is very good, within three minute walk of all three of Benidorms beaches. However, my main bug bear was the absolute stench in the stairway where there is a drain of some sort with a metal cover over it. It was quite repulsive. Heaven knows how bad it will smell in the height of summer, although I can't imagine it could get any worse.
