Returned last night (20/2/08) with my wife after a 4 day break. We were recommended to stay at the hotel and we wern`t dissapointed. We were on the 9th floor with a spectacular sea view. Rooms were spacious & clean. Staff were friendly & helpful.Yes, the hotel is on a hill but a nice stroll and you don`t realise you are at the hotel. Its great if you want a quiet area to relax, its not expensive to drink and the measures for shorts. WOW!!! They have to count to 5 whilst they are pouring. If you want more of the night life then a short taxi ride.Buses are great, 1 euro no matter how far you travel. We only booked B & B but decided to eat in the restaurant 1 night. Only 12 euros for a buffet, food is not bad but not the best, but loads of bars & restaurants around to choose from.In all, I would definately recommend this hotel, in fact I have just booked to go back in April but for a bit longer. Enjoy

Microwave !!!
15 February 2008
We returned yesterday. Hotel clean & tidy, staff excellent. BUT the food was luke warm. When we mentioned this, they were very helpful and told us that there was a microwave to reheat our food in the restaurant !!! WOW... We were not exactly thrilled by this, although it was meant kindly. So we suggest B&B only for the sea views, and location and eat out for other meals, there are great places to eat 9-12 Euros for 3 courses, with excellent food choices.

Happy traveller
09 October 2007
Although it has only 3 star rating, I felt it was probably worth more than that for the friendliness and the view alone. On the down side, (as who ever reads these reviews to hear gushing praise), the location is not good for anyone with a disability unless you have a car (parking 9 euros extra per day) but the hillside location offers marvellous views of almost the whole of Benidorm. Food is varied enough and there was always something you would eat but probably nothing that you would actually order from an a-la-carte menu. I arrived a 12 noon and had to wait until 1 pm for my room to be ready which was a bitv of a let down after travelling since 6 am. If I were to go back to Benidorm I would stay here again (with a car) as it is far enough away from the night-life to be a base for a peaceful short break.

Relaxing Times 13 June 2007
28 June 2007
Having stayed at this Hotel twice previously,we were already aware of it's standards. They have now added air conditioning in the bedrooms, what a bonus. We were half-board this time round, having been full board before, and still found the choice available more tha adequate. Poolside was very relaxing with service from the bar,no need to leave the sun lounger. Excellent for just chilling out. If you want to stay up late then Benidorm is the place. Just a euro on the bus or 5 in a taxi. Or if you like a walk, just 45 minutes along the beach. Just a stone's throw away from this hotel is everything required for a fun, relaxing Holiday. We would definitely be going back later this year.

HOTEL TORREDORADA
14 June 2007
The hotel was absoloutely fantastic , clean , comfortable , friendly , however if you are wanting the bright lights of levante beach and all the night life in new benidorm this hotel is quite a journey from hustle and bustle of new benidorm . It costs appros 10 euros from the hotel in to new benidorm so you need to make allowances for that in your budget and the food in the hotel if your half or full board is what i would describe as adequate nothing more just adequate

Torredorada
30 May 2007
We booked this hotel as a three day break over a bank holiday weekend, the only complaint is when we went to our room it had two twin beds although we booked a double room, apparantley you do need to stipulate you also require a double bed, although to be fair the staff did actually change our room although we had to wait 2 hours for the room to be ready! We found this hotel very clean and for 3 star the food was of a high standard and plentiful. It is up a slight hill but only a good 5 min walk from the beach. 2 mins from hotel is a bus stop and for 1 euro this takes you to old and new benidorm where more of the action and markets are. Would use this hotel again!

Review of 'TORRE DORADA'
02 August 2006
Torre Dorada had the most friendly restaurant staff we have ever met. But it is on a steep hill and this is a climb from the beach as there are 3 hills to face (my husband who is a runner even found it tiresome and a long slog). Whilst at the hotel we had building work (replacing the patio doors) whilst occupying the rooms taking place!! This hotel could be lovely if the Spanish would just chill!! and realise that building work should be done at the end of season whilst the hotel is closed!

Review of 'TORRE DORADA'
05 July 2006
Torre Dorada is placed on a 'Hill'! This is not one hill but four steep hills from beach to front door. The last one being the worse to the front door of the hotel. Air Conditioning was a must, food was well presented although if you are Vegetarian I hope you like (Chips and Salad). All vegetarian food had 'chopped ham' or 'tuna' on it so beside a cheese quiche no much option for vegetarian. Whilst we were there building work was taking place outside the hotel (JUNE 2006) and this was noisey! Building work was also taking place INSIDE the hotel.... say no more!! Shame because the staff in the restaurant and bar were friendly and hotel could have been so good!!

We had room overlooking the beach and this was excellent view of the whole of Benidorm. Rooms were very clean. The location is great if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of centre Benidorm. The hotel is situated up a very steep hill but short walk to the bus stop. The food was good and there was a good variety on the evening meals and plenty of choice. Wouldn't go to Benidorm again.

Review of 'TORRE DORADA'
10 February 2006
Torre Dorada is one of the best hotels I have visited in Spain. It is well managed, with facilities more akin to a four star hotel. My room - booked as a single - was warm, well furnished, comfortable and with a magnificent view and bigger than many doubles I have stayed in. The location - in Finestrat - is great if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of central Benidorm but the delightful small resort of La Cala is on the doorstep. The food was superb with multi-choices at all meals, themed dinners to add interest and special touches like the diabetic/healthy eating bar at breakfast. The staff were courteous and the entertainment and facilities including extensive terraces, bar and pool area were of a high standard and little touches like the computer terminal and in-house videos were very welcome. The only negative was the low hill leading to the resort centre which might daunt some elderly or moblity-impaired visitors. Nevertheless, Torre Dorada is a very good choice for all travellers of all ages and families.

Review of 'TORRE DORADA'
02 January 2006
The Hotel was perfect for a winter break for the "older" age group. We spent a week there from Xmas eve and enjoyed the wide variety of food and entertainment. The evening buffet meals in particular are excellant and wine prices reasonable. Our room had a lovely view of the sea with a spacious balcony. We live in Spain but find Benidorm, and in particular the Poniente beach location an excellant winter break choice, the Torre Dorada is very close to the beach and prom with excellant walking all the way to the old town and Levante beach. The bus into the centre of Benidorm stops only a few hundred yards away with a Taxi rank also close by.A supermarket, chemist and various banks are also on the doorstep. An excellant location for people who do not want noisy "Brit" bars on their doorstep.

Great hotel. Lovely views and nice food. Lovely and clean. Reasonable sized rooms but very spacious balcony. Nice part of town near enough to get bus or walk in, far enough away for little noise. On a big hill so would not suit those who don't like walking. Superb value for money.

02 July 2005
Have stayed here twice with my husband and young grand-daughter. Hotel is very clean with excellent food. There is a hill to climb which could be unsuitable for the less mobile. Only drawback if you want to visit the shops and night life is the location. Had to get taxis back and forth New Benidorm, which can make it a bit miserable. If you want a lovely hotel with excellent facilities and very friendly staff, but don't want to venture far from the hotel, this is the place for you.

Review of 'TORRE DORADA'
22 June 2005
We enjoyed the Torre Dorada very much. We were two couples on a short 4-day break with only one of us having been to Benidorm previously. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. The food was good, although there could have been a little more variety on the hot breakfast choice. There was a good variety on the evening meals and plenty of choice. We didn't see much for kids but there again we weren't looking as ours were not with us. There were lots of locals in during our weekend as there was a religous festival on, but that was not a problem. We'd certainly go back there but probably as couples again.

Very friendly and clean. The rooms overlooking the beach have an excellent view of the whole of Benidorm. The hotel is situated up a hill and a walk of about 150yds from the bus stop (up hill). The surrounding area around the hotel is quiet and it was nice to return from the hustle and bustle of Benidorm and relax. The hotel entertainment is aimed at the older client, but younger guests would be able to access the main entertainment areas of the old town or the British end easily by bus or taxi. Bus ride takes about 15 mins (very frequent till about 11.30pm), to the old town and a taxi costs about 5/6 Euro to the middle of town. Great place and we will be going back.
