Great hotel
17 August 2008
I live in spain so my friend and I stayed for one night in this hotel so we could have a girls night out! We found it brilliant, close to everything ie shops, pubs, beach. The room had a fridge which was a good idea, although it was a little on the small side (but we managed for one night). The staff were helpful and polite. The food was nice and the bar prices were the same as the pubs. I think the only downside was that the pool was a little dated, although it was clean. And they charged us 10 Euros to park our car.

GREAT HOLIDAY
20 July 2008
Stayed at the Calypso for a week in July with a friend and her grand-daughter. We had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. The food was lovely and had a great variety. We were always able to get a sunbed by the pool which was great. Only thing I would like to see change would be the pool area. They could do with a larger childrens and adult pool. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Really enjoyable stay. Thank you.

PLEASANT BREAK
23 May 2008
Spent 8 days at the Calypso (my second time) and do not regret it. My sister and I had a lovely time and are going back in October. The food, cleanliness and staff were excellent. The refurbishment this year is lovely but really we didn't think it was necessary as this hotel has always looked very smart. The main improvement is the dining room.

ENJOYABLE CHRISTMAS
30 December 2007
Just spent a week at the Calypso Hotel and spent a very nice time there. The hotel is in a very good spot, close to the nightlife, shops, markets and beach. We stayed in a room on the top floor and had great veiws of the sea and Benidorm. Our room was always cleaned to a very high standerd even on Xmas Day.
The food was very good always lots to choose from and the cakes and puddings were wondreful.
Never stayed in the hotel in the evenings but we did start our night off having a drink in the bar/lounge and music was always being played. Bingo and line dancing during the afternoon. The pool area is lovely, nice big poo,l play area and lovely trees to give you shade should you want it.
This was our second time at this hotel and I'm sure we will soon be making it a third time.

Fab Hotel
03 August 2007
We arrived in Benidorm on the 25/7/07 for the first time. We had a no fuss check in and went straight to our room on the 7th floor overlooking the main road and a view of the sea. Room was alot more spacious than we had anticipated and very, very clean. The weather was extremely hot and so the air conditioning was very welcome - although noisy!! Food in the hotel was superb, I was travelling with two fussy 11 year old girls and they found something they liked every mealtime. Pool area was lovely and clean and sunbeds were easy to get. All in all we had a fantastic week and I recommend this hotel to all. I had such a good time I am going back in 2 weeks time!!

Review of 'HOTEL SERVIGROUP CALYPSO'
04 April 2007
We arrived early evening on Tuesday 6th March at the Hotel Calypso for a short 5 day break, booking ourselves by internet. After a promt efficient check in, we were put in a room on the 11th floor but 4lifts available so no problems there. Room spotless and quite a nice sea view from the veranda, but tended to get a little chilly in the afternoon (What could you expect in early March?) Food quite good (but I am a rather poor eater) service of a high standard, staff were always checking to see if anything was running short and replaced items very quickly. Unfortunately, my wife fell and fractured her shoulder 2 days into the holiday and ended up in Hospital for 8 days (Please get insurance when you go on holiday, I'm glad we had it as this Hospital stay would have cost a fortune) The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful extending my stay indefinately until my wife was discharged from hospital never failing to ask how my wife was every day. I didn't get around much to see what entertainment was on offer so can't make comments on that aspect of the holidy. On thing I can say is that the area around the hotel is flat, no hills to climb, but be careful, pavements tend to be cracked and uneven in some places.

Review of 'CALYPSO'

A very plesant hotel, the rooms were spotless just a bit on the small side, the pool area has plenty of sunbeds for relaxing and very friendly waiter service. The location of the hotel is in position A regards to bars.nightclubs and the beach also only a one euro bus ride to the old town. There were a lot of older people in the hotel so ballroom dancing at night was popular but the location means you can have a night out clubbing and within five mins be in bed.Our only grumble would be is the hot food for evening meal could be classed as warm.

Review of 'CALYPSO'
30 July 2005
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Calypso. The reception is lavishly decorated and although the room I stayed in was pretty basic as the majority of spanish hotel rooms are, the staff and atmosphere were really pleasant. I visited in October with my family and despite me taking a slight disliking to Benidorm itself, notoriously labelled as the Blackpool of Spain, the hotel was more than satisfactory. Because I stayed there in the post summer holiday era, the majority of my fellow tourists were elderly. The hotel catered for their needs in particular with ball room dancing evenings and bingo. So if you're wanting a somewhat lively stay, I wouldn't recommend October. However, the food (buffet style) was tasty although if we would've stayed a second week, it would have become slightly monotous to say the least. I remember them offering us Paella in a large dish which was delicious. Their desserts were very lavish if a bit too fattening! But, if you can't scoff your face on holiday, when can you?! So if you're looking for a holiday with a bit of friendly class, nice food and pleasant surroundings, I would strongly recommend THE Hotel Calypso.
