We have been to Prague many times and stayed at lots of Hotels but this was the best so far. Everything was close by so no need to use the trams or Metro. This Hotel was very clean and the staff was really nice and very helpfull. If you needed to buy anything there was a shop straight across the road . You must go and see the changing of the guards at 12.oclock every day at the Castle its a must. Also in the old town there is a clock that everyone goes to see on the hour dont miss it and you can also go up to the top in a lift and the views are amazing. The Clubs and Bars are great no bother at all and the staff are friendly . If you look around you can find cheap bars as the ones in the old town are expensive so go outside of these and they are a lot cheeper. Back to the Hotel the room was very spacious and clean. There was loads of space each room was on its own. The Kitchen had everything you needed also a mini bar and the living room and bedroom was very spacious. The breakfast was good plenty to choose from. The staff could speak good English and was very polite. There is a good Irish bar so if you can find it make surs you go. If you head towards Charles Bridge you will find some nice places to eat we spent most of our time eating around this area as the food was lovely so was the beer just ask Ricey as he seemed to spend most of the time drinking it .Will be going back to this Hotel sometime this year as we had a great time .

Excellent Hotel

16 March 2008
This is a very pleasent Hotel with nice staff and a very clean and spacious rooms. This is our third time to Prague and we will be staying at this Hotel in the future. The breakfast room was excellent and staff came straight out to bring your bread as soon as you sat down. Wen Sq is a 5 min walk and the old town is just through a few streets, not far at all. Alll the pubs and clubs are in walking distance so you don't need to use the local transport . If you need to buy any items there is a shop straight across the road, you will find it sells most things. I would fully recommend the Hotel Suite Home to anyone visiting Prague.

4 days in Prague

15 March 2008
Very clean, large, 1 bedroom apartment. Paid extra for executive suite which was on the 5th floor with fabulous views of castle and surrounding area. Didn't hear any street noise from there. Full sized kitchen with small dishwasher, fridge, freezer & oven. No microwave. Small selection of herbal tea & decaf coffee. No milk or whitener though. Small mini-bar. There are several grocery stores nearby that are much cheaper. Bathroom had combined shower and bath. Large, adjustable shower head, but bath very high to get into if you have mobility problems. There is a lift in the hotel, but it just fits 2 adults and a suitcase. Phone box sized! Free internet in lobby & and WIFI in all rooms. Our room used a swipe card access. There was no chain, latch or bolt on the inside of the door, so anyone with a swipe could come into our room. The cleaner did so to bring more towels, we didnt hear her knock. They are currently doing renovations, but the noise from this is minimal and only heard it a few times during the day. There are signs apologising for this. We weren't, however, expecting the workmen to use the electical socket in our room for their drills! Again, we never heard anyone knock & we even had a 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. The drilling was in the hall so surely he has an extension cord to do such work, rather than coming into a guests room. Also, why does he have a swipe card to our room!!! There is no peep-hole on the doors either so even if they had knocked, you cannot check who is there. As our safe didnt work either, it was rather disturbing. Other than lack of security, the hotel was lovely. 5mins walk from Wencelas Square and 10-15mins from Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. Reception staff were friendly and spoke English very well. The heating was adequate and there was also an air conditioner. Breakfast was a selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit, yoghurts and rolls. It was very busy between 9-10am so best avioded unless happy to wait for a table. I hate to think how busy it would be in summer. I would stay in this area of Prague again, and if they install some sort of latch or bolt on the bedroom doors, would definately stay at Suitehome again.

GREAT BASE

11 February 2008
Booked the limo which hotel uses for airport transfer (20 mins.) @ 530 CZK to kick-start our short 2 night trip. Executive double suite was massive, and silent at rear of hotel.Full size fridge for drinks (leave empty beer bottles as extra tips - shop up the road charged 3 CZK deposit per bottle!).The continental breakfast was well varied and enough to stoke-up on.Top place, very warm, clean & tidy and fair price and would certainly use again for a winter stay. Didn't notice any A/C, so may be hot in summer?

This hotel is ideally situated 5 mins walk from Wen. Sq. and the underground stops of Musuem and Mustek and a couple of minutes from the tram lines (22/23) to get over to Mala Strana and the Castle.
The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful and speak fluent English. The breakfast is continental but lots of choice and nice little pastries and croissants as well. The rooms are fantasic and well equiped the kitchens have everything you need as well as a mini bar (albeit very expensive, there is a little shop over the road, they don't speak a word of English but the drink is very cheap).
Free internet access and CNN keeps you up to date on anything you might need to know and reception will book taxis, excursions if needed. We brought a 3 days travel card for 220 kc which gets you on the trams, tube and buses. Highly recommend it to get around and you can get to the airport (Green line to Dejvicka and then bus 119).
Only down side is street noise - night club down the road and you will get quite used to police sirens and ambulances all over Prague, the noise can be piercing. There are double windows in the rooms, but the noise still gets through.

This hotel is in a great location. It is a very large room and kitchen with everything that you could need.  The minus points are the shower cubicle is very small and while I would not class us as large people we found it very clostraphobic.  Also the road is very noisy outiside 24/7. We were only there for 2 nights so didnt bother us too much.  Other than that it was great. We enjoyed our break.

Having just returned from a 3 day stay in this beautiful city, I can't wait to get back.  The Hotel was in a great location close to all the sights, very clean(towels changed every day) and the staff could not have been more friendly.  I would just say be aware of waiters adding extra tips to the bill, it almost happened to us at a restaurant close to Wenceslas Sq.

The hotel is based in a fantastic location, only a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of prague. We travelled to Prague during the 'off season' so prices were very cheap. The hotel is very presentable from the reception to the rooms. The beds were confortable and room provided self catering services as well as a TV. The rooms were cleaned well and were very quiet.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful- the hotel is well worth its star rating and would be suitable for all groups of travellers.

Myself and those who stayed with me at hotel residence were all unanimous in agreeing that should we decide to return to Prague in the future, we would be more than happy return to this fantastic hotel.

The Hotel is very central, the romms are very clen and large, with plenty of storage, the lounge/kitchen area has all you need including a dishwasher which the maid will even fill for you. It was a lovely warm haven after the cold of Prague. There is even free internet so you can keep in touch with those at home.

Best restuarant in Prague is Ambeinti on Celenta the best steak I have ever eaten.

Friendly reception and waitress service.  The reception was clean and airy with TV and internet access.  The apartment suite was spacious and seemed to have been recently refurbished. The breakfast was ample and varied and very clean and tidy. We visited Prague in February and anticipated the room may be cold but the whole building was quite warm.  Overall we had a brilliant time and would recommend this apartment.  It was about 15/20 mins walk to the main square but close to other small restaurants etc.

The appartment was large, clean, well equipped and very welcoming.  Excellent value for money.

From the airport, we used public transport to get to the hotel, which took us about 50 minutes and was very easy.  Once we arrived at the hotel we discovered that we were situated within walking distance of all the main attractions of the city.

My daughter's rucksack was lost at the airport and then sent to another hotel with the same name, at the other side of the city.  The hotel's Conceige, Mr Oleg Fanta was exceptionally helpful and spent a day tracking the rucksack down for us.  He then went, when he was off duty, to pick it up for us and returned it to our hotel, for which we were extremely grateful.

I would recommend anyone interested in a visit to Prague to stay at the Hotel Residence Suite Home.
