Great location Great Spanish beach resort

23 July 2008
Stayed just 1 night as we needed a hotel close to the airport for an early flight - This was ideal being only 5 minutes drive to Tenerife South Airport. Checked in early so had an entire day in the resort which is a lovely Spanish town. Fantastic for wind surfing and seems to be THE place for such sport as there were 100´s of people enjoying just that. Stunning beaches and coves a 20 minute walk away where we spent the day in isolation on our own private beach!! If you want to be away from the masses highly recommended. The hotel was a good 3 star with large clean and very quiet rooms which seem to have been upgraded over recent years. All with a terrace either a sea view or inland to the main town square. Meals are typical buffet for the masses with a good choice of salad plus 4 hot dishes. Restaurant is located overlooking the sea with fantastic views. We did not have breakfast as such as we had a 5am call for a flight but were left a plated breakfast with fruit, cakes and coffee to enjoy 2 hours before the restaurant opened - A good service. We were offered a breakfast to take with us also. Will stay again for a week next time as the beach location is great.

Review of Hotel Medano

18 December 2007
Just returned from a 4 night break in this Hotel. The service was excellent. Location superb, rooms basic but roomy & clean, food - I had expected the worst but was pleasantly surprised by choice and quality of breakfast & evening meal. Plenty of choice of bars and restaurants on your doorstep all reasonably priced. Had excellent time.

Review of 'HOTEL MEDANO'

Superb location , literaly on the beach.  One end of the hotel is actually over the water.  If you arrive by car, you will have to park some distance away as there is no parking at the hotel.  The excellent setting is worth the short walk.  Food is very average but the hotel has character and charm.
