What a great choice of Hotel. Great to be outside the hustle & bustle of Luxor but easy enough with the free shuttle bus & boat & handy taxis to ge there within 15 mins.
Very relaxing, gardens great, rooms fine but bathrooms need upgrading & in fairness they are doing this discreetly a block at a time. However scrupulously clean. As with all big tourist hotels, breakfast & buffet meals the usual hustle bustle, but they do have a seperate french restaurant for a more relaxed affair & this food was extremely good for Egypt, more expensive but worth it. They also have kitchen tours & the standard of the hygiene etc was very good. Funnily enough the waiters in this restaurant far more unfriendly than in the normal one - we think they had a problem with a group of women on their own! But all other staff very good. View from the hotel is unmatched as right on the Nile & so so relaxing. None of us got bitten by mossies all week! Great pools, the Infinity Pool was being retiled so closed for 2 weeks, but was just getting reopened at the end of stay & it was fantastic. We went into a number of the good hotels in Luxor to compare & we all decided we had made the right choice of hotel. If I were to go to Luxor again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Have to say the Private Transfer arranged from/to airports was also first class.
