Small 3 * hotel but with the elements reuired for enjoyable stay. Clean, well serviced and comfortable bedrooms. Food was excellent in all respects. Very small rooftop pool. The only concern was the two fire exit doors in the dining room - one was obstructed by tables and the other was chained and padlocked and also obstructed.

A very enjoyable holiday in a very good hotel offering extremely high value for money.
Food good and plentiful with a very acceptable choice for both breakfast and dinner.
Bar drinks were reasonably priced although the wine list was rather limited.
Bedroom and bathroom:- clean - towels changed daily - beds comfortable (not duvets) - efficient air conditioning - large balcony (but being a town centre location, the view was, understandable, onto other buildings) - plenty of storage space in good size room - English channels on TV.
Public areas attractive and well furnished.
All staff were very professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Although the hotel does not have a car park, I managed to park in the road very close to the hotel every night (This was in June - could be different in high season). However, there is a large public car park within easy walking distance. Note, only park in designated (white line) areas - NOT yellow!!!
Would thoroughly recommend and we hope to return in the near future.

The hotel was fnatastic.
th pool we had i on our own most days and they cleaning service were one of the best.it is very central to balcon and also to toreceali. You would want to specify a big room as we had a big room but prevoius friend of ours had a room the was very cramped.would stay again.(make sure to ask for a room a the back of the hotel to as this will mean you will not be interupted by the nearby tutti fruity disco area

Me and my father stayed at the Jimesol for 2 nights in September. The rooms were basic like everyone else has said but were clean. The hotels pool area could do with a refurb but the hot tub is excellent. We found the food fantastic not what were were expecting but we were told that the hotel had recently had a new chef. Overall a nice hotel in a fantastic location and we will be returning again soon. Also if you stay here make sure you check out the great Irish bar next to the hotel.

Location is ideal and rooms are clean but very basic. If you can get the AC to work chances are you won't be able to sleep due to the noise. Food very basic and not at all varied. Staff incredibly rude, unhelpful and bordering on ignorant. Friends stayed elsewhere while were there and had a much more enjoyable stay.

Ideal for: location, (centre of Nerja), price, & short stay. Staff very professional, efficient & helpful. Rooms clean but very basic. Only had a short stay, still didn't get the air-con to work and awake most of night with noise from very close nightclub/late bar square. Bust as I say ideal for a short visit.

We stayed in the Jimesol hotel for 4 nights. We found the staff friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean but basic, very reasonable prices which included breakfast every morning. Overall a very good place to stay if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay in Nerja.

An excellent location for exploring Nerja, close to all amenaties including shops bars and the beach. Reception staff very friendly all hotel staff welcoming and friendly during the stay. Bar prices reasonable, with a friend service. Good value hotel including half board, the food was plentiful althouth wasn't always served hot. With the reasonal prices of half board the option to eat out doesn't break your bank balance.
An exellent choice of hotel, we have stayed there before and would return again due to the service and location

The hotel accomadation and service was exellent, one small comment was that on a couple of the nights the room was very cold, although the air condition unit was meant to heat it did not, i also overheard an elderly couple having the same problem.

Review of 'HOTEL JIMESOL'

We had already read reviews about this hotel before booking, so were aware of some of the comments. The room was good but cold, the a/c unit was not working but the hotel did give us a small heater, this applied to other guests also. Breakfast, this has been mentioned before, the English breakfast was cold! But they had a wide choice of other things including on the Sunday Champange if you wanted. The room was looked after everyday by the maids again including Sunday. Overall we would go again but from day one avoid the English breakfast. They do provide a Microwave if you really want bacon and eggs hot.

Good quality 3 star hotel.
My only criticisms: 1 Night clerk a bit dozy, wasn't always at desk if you returned after 12 midnight. No bell. One night he couldn't find the front door key!
2 Breakfast coffee was not very nice, served from urn so perhaps not surprising. Also bread rolls / bread were stale - obviously bought day before. This rather let the morning experience down.

Review of 'HOTEL JIMESOL'
19 June 2006
We stayed here last year and couldn't really fault it. However, this year it seems to be on a downward slide. The food was cold and the menu hasn't changed (we ate out most evenings despite having half board accommodation). The maid service was not as good and there seemed to be a general shortage of staff, especially in the bar area. We daren't use the wardrobe as there was a crack in the glass and the runners were sticking. The roof terrace and pool are still good though, as is the jaccuzzi.

A very clean and tidy little budget hotel. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are adequate and have balconies and tv's. The only negative point is the food - food is edible but not that appetising. However for the money, what do you expect. I was booked in for half board however only ate in the hotel one night. Nerja has many retaurants of varying prices and good food. So if you decide to stay at this nice hotel I would only recommend bed and breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated, only need to walk to the end of the road for a nice beach, and 5 min walk to shops.

Hotel was clean, room rather spacious and well appointed. We were at the rear with a balcony and an excellent view of a car park (!) and the mountains beyond. Quiet. Cooked breakfast was good, dinner usually good, but as has been previously stated, it is advisable to arrive early to ensure the food is hot. Staff very friendly. Would return to same hotel.

Hotel very clean and attractive and so was our bedroom. The maid service was excellent. The only disappointment was the food, especially the evening meal which always looked very dried up and was often cold. So on numerous occasions we eat out. Ideal location for beach and bars etc. Would return on a b & B basis only.

My wife and I have just returned from Hotel Jimesol 30/09/05 we found the Hotel very clean and staff helpful, we think the dining room arrangements need sorting out absolute caos at times the buffet bar needs more space, food was average, good choice but could have been a lot hotter, there did not seem enough staff clearing away and checking when food needed replenishing, swimming arrangements dissapointing, and I would like to have had tea and coffee making facilities in room. all in all it was good value for the money.

Very clean and friendly hotel, but would have liked a larger room - we were in 303, possibly because we only stayed one night (Sept 11th. The rooms opposite were considerably larger with a balcony. We would like to return, but only if we had one of these rooms. Food was acceptable albeit not a great selection.

We stayed at the Hotel Jimasol at the end of July for ten days, half bored. It was a lovely friendly hotel, with a large room but were dissapointed there was no balcony. This was not the case for all rooms though!Rooms were clean !! Swimming pool tiny...too small to swim! Staff were helpful..breakfast good but very busy if you were not down early..Dinner was sometimes very boring and not very hot!Hotel was very well situated in Nerja, close 2 beaches,bars,etc..Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would go back but only on B and B basis!!
