Hotel D'Angleterre
20 June 2008
As with any french hotel if you do not expect too much you will not be too disappointed. The rooms are small, well ours was, but tidy. The furniture, what there was of it, had seen better days so if you are planning on staying more than a couple of days I suggest to look else where. We stayed 3 days in June which was just about enough for there was only two draws and a very small wardrobe. I must add that in the wardrobe were wire coat hangers ( I thought they went out with the horse trams ) and they also had seen better days. The common area's where decidedly ropey but again tidy. the staff were very pleasant although when we tried to get a glass of vin rouge from the bar the chap did not know what we were talking about, and he was french believe it or not. The location of the hotel is superb though so if you just want somewhere to sleep this hotel will suffice. I would think twice about returning but that does not mean I would not.
