Housed in an attractive building from the early 1900s, this recently-opened hotel boasts a relaxed setting, a host of modern comforts and close proximity to public transport links. The hotel’s strategic location, 200 metres from the underground, 5 minutes walk from the central train station and close to the bus station, makes it an ideal base for both tourists and business people. If you are visiting the area on business, you can benefit from a comfortable meeting room with a capacity for up to 35/40 people theatre-style or 20 people with a central table or U-shape set up. The hotel’s reception is open 24 hours a day, and provides bookings for tours of Rome, general information, theatre galleries, museums tickets, and car and scooter rental. Transfers to and from airports and/or the train stations can also be booked by the hotel.

The Hotel Camelia was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing a map of the area etc. The room and bathroom were clean and reasonably sized, towels and bedding were changed regularly. Although the hotel is not centrally located, it is only a 5 or 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station, with the Spanish Steps 2 metro stops one way, and the Colosseum 3 metro stops in the other direction. Would have no problem in recommending to other visitors to Rome
