Just as I expected from the reviews I had read and from the hotel website. The Beacon is a clean well kept establishment in a nice residential part of town, alot quieter than the 'manic' Midtown area. The staff were all friendly and helpful to us.
We stayed here between the 7th & 11th Nov 2005. Nice selection of resturants in the area but some are quite pricey. Subway(Metro) nicely placed a couple of blocks away will get you to most of the main attractions. Mini market opposite selling everything you are likely to need if you are eating in. My only criticism is that the walls in the rooms are abit thin.
