Fabulous, excellent hotel
15 July 2008
We were unsure what to expect of the Royal Beach when booking this due to many of the reviews mentioning alot about the hotel having many hen and stag night parties staying. My husband and I stayed at the Royal Beach at the end of April 08 for a long weekend and loved the hotel and the resort. The hotel was right on the beach front, our room was spacious, we had a separate bedroom to the living and kitchen area and a large balcony which had gorgeous sea and pool views. Don't quote me but the way the hotel was built is seemed as though all rooms had sea and pool views. The rooms were very clean and the communal areas of the hotel were too. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is located at the bottom of one of the liveliest streets in Magaluf but is just far enough away from the bars to not being disturbed. The taxi was around 35 euros from the airport. Excellent hotel with an excellent location. We would definately holiday there again. We are certain you will have a great time, go for it!!!

Royal Beach
08 July 2008
Just returned from a 3 night stay with my wife. The hotel is excellent and very clean. The position is great, close to all bars, resteraunts and right on the sandy beach. On a negative note, the hotel and magaluff itself is full of gangs of lads and girls. The pool had a number stag and hen parties at it and on the friday afternoon it was very rowdy. We were both happy we didnt have our children with us. To conclude, the Hotel could not be faulted and would recommend, a family holiday with young children in July ??

40th Birthday Bash!!!
24 June 2008
Just returned from a long weekend, there were 13 (girlies) ranging from 18 to 40ish! we had a great time! the location was ideal during the day for chilling by the pool or crossing the promenade to the beach. The studios and appartments were a good size plenty of room for 3/4 adults. Appts ideally located for nightlife, close enough to walk friends back if they had had one too many!! A bit noisy at night if you don't intend partying into the early hours but our motto was, "if you can't beat 'em join em" ! Good value for money!

Hen weekend - Age 24-30
18 June 2008
There were 13 of us on a hen weekend. Hotel was in a fantastic location easily accesible to the bars & clubs and other amenities.
Hotel was clean and the rooms were a nice size and very spacious.
Hotel reception staff quite rude especially one lady when we first arrived.
I would definatley recommend staying here we all loved it. They had two pools and lots of sunlougers, The only down fall was we had to pay 2 euro's per day to use the sunbed - a ripoff.

Fantastic Location
05 June 2008
Just returned from a weeks stay at the Royal Beach. Studio a great size with fantastic views of the pool & beach. Had air con however couldnt get this to work very well. Would advise anyone staying to ask for a room on a high floor as all apartments on the first floor have awful security shutters which make the rooms look like a prison cell. Would definately stay here again.

hen weekend - mixed ages 18-49
12 May 2008
Just returned from yet another hen weekend in Magaluf. Glad to say these apartments were great. Good location right on beach front, near to all pubs and clubs, great location for night life and relaxing on beach. Apartments clean and spacious. Didn't get the sea view but imagine it would be great. Staff helpeful, just don't make too much noise at 6am when your getting in from the clubs, you will be punished....

just the job
19 April 2008
if you are looking for a studio/apartment with fantastic sea views, near to shops ,bars and beach then you wont get any better than this without it affecting the pocket.if u are are group out for a stag/hen party then these fit the bill being close to nightclub and lively bars.the studios are well furnished, spacious and all have a view over the 2 great pools and sea.suiting couples who just want to relax on the balcony with a glass or two at the end of day. we went s/c as we read the food wasnt up to much ,but glad we did as the studio kitchen is well acquiped and plenty of good eateries on doorstep.there is only one fault if any that is if you are a light sleeper you may be put off with the noice of late night drinkers returning into the building as the hallways echo-didnt bother me but might see it a problem to some. but all in all would and will def be going back there with my husband .thanks for a great time.

Cracking location
19 April 2008
Hotel right on the beach , good clean pools for all ages. hotel room, lifts and coridors very clean, ideal for all shops and just far enough away from the noisy nightlife, 5 -8 min walk away. We went in April weather reasonable area not very busy but all amenities fully open, hence the reason it was a little quiet. Bus to Malaga from just outside the airport doors number 1 cost 2.3 euroes per adult stops just down the road from the hotel , bus to palma , same price same bus stop 40mins each way. Go to Solare great port . ps, tourist office great just outside the hotel very helpful . Hotel put us in a sea view room with no problem staff very friendly. Would recommed it but remember we went in April . It could be very different in High season. Warning ensure you ask the price of your taxi before getting in some will overcharge. Palma to magaluf should be about 35 - 40 euros one way no more in 2008

Royal Beach
15 October 2007
We spent five nights at Royal Beach commencing 30th September. Location is great but can be a bit noisy in the early hours. We were initially disappointed as we had booked a studio with a sea view, however, our room was located at the corner of the complex and overlooked the bin area of the hotel and neighbouring shops. We would have liked to spend more time on the balcony looking out at the fabulous sea view but we were not allocated the accommodation we booked. The pools and sunbathing terraces were spacious and very clean as was reception area. Can't comment on food as went self catering. Would certainly go back if sea view was guaranteed.

October in the Royal Beach
08 October 2007
My fiance, best friend and I have just come home from 4 days and 3 nights in Magaluf, staying at the Royal Beach, we were booked into the Martinique but after arriving there and it being over booked they transfered us...and we're glad they did!! The Royal Beach is gorgeous, less than 2meters away from the beach and a gorgeous large swimming pool and childrens pool!! loads of sunbeds-we were out there every day and didn't pay once-and we were never asked to either. Food was awful....thankfully we were self catering so ate out (steak house is fantastic, as is the bar that is on the left and across the road as you walk out of the hotel-NOT THE ONE DIRECTLY OPP) wouldn't recommend Tom Brown's-appalling service, rubbish food and very unclean.
Hotel triple room was more than adequate with fab views...beds are quite hard though and pillows really hurt your neck (take your own pillow!!) staff....somewhat helpful-didn't tell us that we couldn't have a late checkout on sunday or monday and didnt really understand us.

September in the Royal Beach
21 September 2007
The hotel is situated right at the heart of the strip in Magaluf and so not for those seeking a quiet holiday. The place was kept spotless and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Sunbeds and sunshades had to be hired for the day at 2 euros for each item. Gave this a plus rating because the "put your towl on early" brigade were absent. Only fault was the quality of the food. Whilst everything on offer was edible the choice was limited and much repeated. It was more like a canteen meal than a hotel. We chose to eat out for about half the time. All in all we would revisit but probably go on a self catering or bed and breakfast basis only.

31 May 2007
Just came back from Royal Beach 29/05/07 had a fantastic time. Hotel was brilliant very clean staff very friendly. First time we have been half board and I could not fault it at all the food was so good with a different variety. Swimming pools were great, mt 3 year old loved the outdoor pools aswell as the indoor pool. You couldn't have asked for the hotel to be situated in a better place, it was lovely right on the beach, lovely view from your balcony.Would definately go back to this hotel again.

Comfortable Apartments with Stunning Views
09 May 2007
Have just returned from the Royal Beach which is actually part of the Iberostar hotel chain. The Apartments are of a large size and all have stunning sea views. This hotel couldn't be any closer to the beach - it's right on the front. There is a huge pool and a smaller childrens pool with plenty of sunbeds although these are an additional charge of 2 euro. The food in the restaurant is typical spanish half board buffet style though no where near as good as some other 3* hotels we have stayed in... the food was indeed edible but lacked choice. We will return to this hotel again but this time on a self catering basis. One more thing.. be warned the hotel is close to BCM and a large square of bars and clubs.

Excellent Hotel
09 May 2007
Stayed at the Royal Beach 27th April to May 4th. 2007
Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed all inclusive with 2 year old son. Food in the resteraunt was good with a good choice, although not well catered for childs meals. All drinks were on tap so you just help yourself.
Rooms very clean and spacious. We had a 1 Bed apartment overlooking the pool with a great view across the beach and the bay.
Little bit noisey on a night as BSM night club is only a stones throw away. I can imagine it being very loud in the middle of the season. Didn't bother me as i wear earplugs! The little one slept at the front of the apartment so it was a lot quieter there. The only real moan i would have is from the 1st of may they charge for the sun beds. Which from what i could work out was between £1.50 - £2 per bed. depending on how the guy was feeling who collected the money. We budgeted for this before we went but some elderly couples were not very pleased with the extra expence.
To conclude i would say if your a couple with small kids go early or late season. If your a party animal this a great base for you but go self catering.

Review Aptos Beach
27 April 2007
We've just returned from this apart/hotel and had a great 4 night stay. It is situated in the heart of Magaluf the promenade being on at the back of the hotel, and is at the centre of the action. This may cause a bit of noise in high season but we found it fine. Staff are pleasant and food is varied and edible, although there are so many eateries nearby that are very reasonably priced that you may decide like us to eat out instead. The place is clean and the rooms were comfortable, ours had a lovely view of the bay. There are loads of sunbeds available and a good pool as well as a children's pool. There is a poolside bar and all in all we could find little to complain about. There is car parking under the hotel @ 3 euros per day. This is a bonus, as carparking is a nightmare in the centre of Magaluf. We would return there again anytime.

Stayed at the Royal Beach just for a long weekend, the location was spot on right in the heart of Magalluf with plenty of bars restaurants and shops, situated right on the beach. The rooms were very spacious and clean, staff friendly enough, the food wasn't brilliant but was ok you would probably get fed up after a week of it but there are plenty of cheap places to eat out anyway, would def go back to this hotel. Magalluf is very lively so if you want a lively holiday then this is place to go.

Review of 'HOTEL APTOS. ROYAL BEACH'
12 April 2007
I stayed at this hotel last June with my 84 year old mother. We had a fantastic time. Everything was so accessible. We had a beautiful room, very clean and spacious with an outstanding view from our balcony. The food was very plentiful with an amazingly varied choice. The cooked food could have been hotter, but the variety made up for that. The staff were very nice. Good evening entertainment which was different every night. We enjoyed a number of shows during our 11 night stay. There was a bit of noise around 5a.m. during the BCM nightclub closing time, but it wasn't too bad. A good pair of foam earplugs could soon solve that! If you are thinking about staying at this hotel, I would definitely say go for it! There are abundant shops and supermarkets on both sides immediately outside the hotel, and they cater well for English tourists. Mum and I are convinced you would have a lovely time at the Royal Beach Appartments...so much so, we are going again this June;HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY!!!

08 March 2007
We spent a week at these hotel apartments in May 2006 and were extremely pleased with everything that we found. The accomodation and facilities in it were most satisfactory while the dining room and food beyond our expectations. The proximity of both the beach and shops were just what we wanted while there is not the usual rush in the mornings to grab the sun lougers which you find in many hotels. We have booked to return again this May.

We stayed from 13 till 20 september and it was great!!! The location is perfect, view to the sea when you wake up. The food was delicious, every day there were other vegetables and fruits. Even for a vegetarion there was much choice in breakfast/dinner. Perfect location with very friendly staff.
We couldn't have had a better holiday then right here in Royal Beach. The bus to Palma stops in front of the hotel.
We want to thank al the people working in Royal Beach very much for there hospitality and their humor. They are friendly from out of the heart, not because they have to. Thanks for everything!!!!

Review of 'HOTEL APTOS. ROYAL BEACH'
27 June 2006
Stayed at the Royal Beach Aparthotel in June 2006 for 16 nights. Excellent location in the centre of Magaluf, right on the beach and a two minute walk to the bars and clubs on the 'strip'. 1 bed apartments are huge with a seperate kitchen and large living area with table and chairs and 2 sofas. Although the apartment could do with some modernisation the rooms are bright and clean.
There is no air conditioning in the hotel although you can hire a small fan. Although the temp reached 34C during our stay we did not need to hire a fan as leaving the balcony door open most of the day provided the apartment with a cool breeze from the sea. Fab views from the balcony!!!
We were dissapointed with the food in the hotel and out of 16 nights we had breakfast once and dinner 5 or 6 times. There was lots of fresh fruit and salad but the 'hot' buffet selection wasnt very hot - bread in the evening was stale and the selection was poor. If we stayed in this hotel again we would stay self catering as the rooms have a hob and fridge and there are lots of lovely restaurants and take-outs nearby.
The pool area is fab (although there is a charge of sunbeds of 1.5 euros per day). The pool bar is quite expensive but as all rooms have fridges it is easy and convenient to store cold drinks there without a need to keep buying drinks from the pool bar.
Reception staff are very nice and friendly, we had a problem with the first room we were allocated (the lock on the door didnt work very well), however the reception staff eventually sorted this out for us.
I would recommend anyone to rent a safe as there are some problems with break ins in Magaluf hotels (although I didnt hear of any in this hotel). Rental is about 2 euros a night and 10 euro deposit but this is well worth it.
The hotel's 3 star rating is justified with the main attraction being the location. There are other 3 star hotels (Sol Guadalupe / Sot Trinidad) where the food is much more superior and the rooms are more modern, however I would stay at the Royal Beach again for the location and great views.
I would reccommend this hotel to anyone visiting Magaluf!!!

this hotel is in a great location right on the beach. all the rooms have sea views, across the pool and beach to the sea.the rooms are spacious with a kitchenette.the food was great, but it did lack a childrens menu, nuggets burgers fishfingers etc.the only thing that spoils this hotel is the noise from the crowds leaving the bcm nightclub it is opposite the hotel and you do get a lot of noise and shouting and singing at 3 4 5 and 6 in the morning and it will wake you up this cannot be blamed on the hotel it is in a central location and that is the price you pay .one last thing the hotel charges for sunbeds. which is annoying it cost me £30 for the week alltogether.

Travelled in May and got a great price from Alpharooms. Location was superb overlooking the beach - great view first thing in the morning having your coffee on the balcony.Everything around you, shops, bars, reataurants, taxis. You don't have to go far if you don't want to. Reception area, pools lovely, rooms were a little bit dated but clean. We didn't mind paying for the sunbeds around the pool - a good idea as you are always guaranteed one - stopped people hogging them with their towels. Only one bad point - it was noisy in the wee small hours but we solved this by staying out until the wee hours ourselves! Booking same hotel next year.

Location was great - right on the beach. Hotel is good. Its quite large with a large pool and right on the beach, so what more can you ask for.
We know all of the hotels in Magaluf and this is one of the better 3 stars. Most others are a little jaded and "70s" Spanish touristy rubbish.
This one is fine. Get an apartment if you can and not a studio - they have better views.

Review of 'APART IBEROSTAR ROYAL BEACH'
31 October 2005
I recently visited the Iberostar Royal Beach for my hen party with a group of 9 friends/family members. We really shopped around when looking for accomodation (a friend who was coming with us recommended Alpharooms) we ended up getting a great deal.
A friend took a chance booking a last minute easyjet flight (we thought she might struggle to get accomodation upon arrival) it turned out to be no trouble the hotel staff were very obliging & managed to get her in no problem. The rooms were ready immediately!
The hotel was very clean & the rooms spacious, we ate in the hotel every night, the food was lovely with good variety at all meal times.
The location of the hotel was perfect just a short taxi journey from the airport, located right on the beach with a fantastic pool area (great for families with young children). Great views, we didn't actually stay for any of the entertainment but there was a great deal advertised.
It was situated just a short walk from the bars & restaurants (some nights the older members of our group would stroll back to the hotel to relax) considering it is located quite central there were no complaints about noise from bars etc.
My partner is visiting Magalluf for his stag do next May with a large group of friends/family I have already recommended Alpharooms & the hotel we visited.
We had an incredible time & even talked about doing the same thing again next year!
Many Thanks

Okay but would not return to this hotel
21 September 2005
We have just arrived back from a week in this hotel, arriving there on the 13th Sept 05. The reception area and dining area were good & we cannot complain about the food. There was a good variety to cater for all, the staff however were not very friendly although the guy on reception was polite. On the first day we settled by the pool only to be approached by a man asking for us to pay for the sunbeds !! We spent most days on the beach where the hotel is situated...this is lovely and the sea is gently shelving so ideal for families. The biggest downfall for this hotel is the lack of sound proofing within the rooms..we were woken up every morning by young clubbers coming back to their rooms at 5am & you could clearly hear them in their rooms way down the corridor. All in all not a bad hotel but bottom end of 3star but is in an ideal situation for the beach and nightlife.....suggested age group for this hotel 20 or under unless you don't mind not getting a lot of sleep !

Review of 'APART IBEROSTAR ROYAL BEACH'
16 June 2005
When we arrived it was around 10 am and the check in was very fast and efficient - staff spoke good english and we were not made to wait for a room. However when we got the room it had obviously been very recently vacated, the beds had been slept in and the sheets not changed and the last guests dirty towels were still lying around. We called the reception and they immediately gave us another room which was exactly as the one shown in the picture on the alpha rooms website. The views are spectacular (we were fifth floor). The front was very quiet but there was some noise at night from the other side of the apartment as there was a karoke bar there.
We paid for half board but only ended up eating there once for breakfast (buffet style) with a large choice, but it is so cheap to eat locally at one of the many beach restaurants with sea views and al fresco.
I would classify this hotel as the bottom end of three star (although the communal areas are very nice). We checked out at 12noon but were offered the use of a courtesy room to shower and freshen up in later as we were not flying out till late at night.
The hotel has good facilities and was extremely reasonable with alpha rooms (far, far cheeper than if booked direct with hotel). Great for families as there seems to be activities for children laid on. I personally would not choose it as my first choice again, but it was clean and comfortable with fantastic views (if you get a sea view room) and everything you could need is close by. On the whole we were very happy with it.
