Basic but Brilliant!

I stayed at the Villa Sol for 4 nights with my fiancee in August, and we thought it was great. Fantastic value for money, very clean and we had use of all the facilities at the Hotel Florida nearby (which was superb, with overlooking sea views at the poolside). We wouldnt hesitate to book again, If your looking for a lively, cheap break in the sun, then Villa Sol is the perfect place to stay!

worst hotel ever

I was really shocked to find out that when you arrive you have to go to hotal Florida to book in. Whem yo book this does not inform you of where to book in we only found out by asking the maid. This is the worst place i have ever stopped in ok for 2 days only but prefer somewhere else. No lift so if you are on top floor you have to go up 5 flights of stairs with your case which are spiral & make you dizzy. laundry bags were in the way of the stairs which is a health & safety hazard anyway. Could not wait to get into a better 4 star hotel after stopping in a flea pit with no air con was not worth the money at all will never ever stop in there again. This hotel is in serious need of updating to bring back to the 21st century.

noisy but cheap

This hotel was great for the money we paid, £90 for the week and the cleaners gave you fresh towels every day. The room is very small, however you could always opt to sleep on the balcony. It is next to Hotel florida which is just up the road and you can use their facilities. We found ants in the corner of the room and the shower leaked. It gets very noisy in the early hours of the morning but you get the chance to make new friends. There is a steep hill to climb but you can go to the Hotel Torrenova and they ring taxis for you, opposite this hotel there is a shop. All in all a good place to stay.

have you seen the only fools and horses where del boi and gang stay in a scary basic hotel????.....well thats the impression we had when arriving at the villa sol...however our four nights were decent as it done the trick for two lvely young lads, bit dirty but the cleaners did do their job every day which i know cant be said about other hotels......so if your not fussy, and in magaluf to go out at night i would recomend the villa sol....if you want space and a pool to lounge buy.....loos else where...

If you're going to Magaluf for a good laugh with your friends, this is the hotel for you! Very basic but Hotel Florida (next door) facilities good and staff helpful. Steep hill to walk back up at night/early hours, good exercise though! Don't expect any frills.

ideal for few nights

I did'nt know what to expect staying here with it being called 'Hostel' Villa Sol. Me and my boyfriend booked up for 4 nights and were quite impressed with the accomadation. Dont get mw wrong, I would'nt have stayed here for a week as there was no air con and no fridge but for a few 4 nights it was fine. Room bit too small but clean enough with fresh towels and bedding every day. The florida hotel which we were meant to use was ok but we preferred to use the pool at the Sovento which is on the corner just before the florida, as they played better music and was more young and lively. Would stay here again if came on a hen night or another short break.

very very very noisey, an that is coming from two 24yr old girls...love to party but sometimes the noise was rediculous.no security, our first room on the 1st floor, smelt of dead animals, we had ants and it was way to small for two people!!...we were then moved to the 5th floor and i do have to say it was much bigger and clean!!.never really went to the sister hotel as pool is not very big, so we went to another one around the corner.the hill is big but its a great location because its so close to the strip of night clubs.i would never stop here again and to be honest it wasnt that cheap for us!!!

The hotel is tatty and dirty. On arrival in the room we realised we were sharing with a colony of ants. The bathroom was dirty and I hardly wished to use it. No airconditioning and the ceiling fan showered me with dust when operated. The doors and windows did not look secure. This place badly needs a refit and I would expect a one star hotel to be at least clean. Finally, the garden lawn was strewn in litter.. whilst I think this says more about the clientele, during the two days we stayed it just acculmulated. At what point does the hotel think cleaning staff should tidy up?

Villa Sol was basic but clean, staff came in everyday to clean and give you fresh towels. I had a decent view, only one problem extremely noisy, door and walls are paper thin, wouldn't mind if the noise was music but there were people banging on doors and being a nusiance, security didn't help.

just got back from magaluf villa sol was basic but clean bit of a hill to climb but if i can make it anyone can great sea view can be a litle noisy but the hotel you can use is fab great pool nice staff had a great time back next year

Perfect for a cheap break!

I went for a cheap weekend to Magaluf and found this hotel fantastic. It is mega cheap and what you get for your money is more than enough. The rooms were small but had a fan and balcony with a decent view. Suits young and lively and was pretty noisy but what do you expect!!!. Very close to the centre of nightlife and the huge hill was a killer but we survived. The Hotel Florida where you can use facilities is gorgeous and has a fab pool overlooking the bay. We were there every day. So you pay bottom price and can use the hotel... perfect to me. If you are not fussy and want a cheap hol this is perfect. I would go again.

Did the job like!

It was basic, but good for the cost. Don't expect a lot of room, but I was staying by myself so it was champion for me. Next to the strip and did the job for me. Definately recommend it

The Vila Sol does exactly what it says on the tin. Its a no frills basic apartment block, cheap as chips, and only 5 mins from the main strip and the beach. If all you need is somewhere to store your case, shower, and sleep, then you cant go far wrong here folks. My party went to Magaluf on a Stag Do and Villa Sol was perfect for what we wanted.
