Brilliant hen weekend !!!!

23 June 2008
This was my hen weekend and there was 8 of us all mixture of ages between 16 and 44, and it was brilliant - we checked in really late on the fri and the staff took a while to warm to us but that took minutes then they were all very helpfull the whole stay - booking taxis (£25 euros to the port and about 10 mins journey) and organising a late checkout for us and for free. rooms were lovely and very clean - shower was to powerfull for the holder it was in so mind the floor when you get out (water everywhere). breakfast is betwwen 7.30 and 10 am and is ok all selfservice and all fresh - mainly toast, cheeses and meats there was some scrambled eggs and bacon too. Ideal for familys too as there is a pool out the back all closed in as you are on the main road and grassed area if all the beds have gone- no towels so take your own. on our return journey home i asked all the girls if they enjoyed the weekend all said yes they would all come back and all said they would stay again bit for longer as you need longer to see all the beautifull sights in barcelona. The one thing i would say is if you intend to go out at night please take one of the hotels business cards each as not one of the 8 taxis we took knew where the hotel was - so just give it the driver and you'll be fine. hope you all enjoy your stay!!!

Good hotel

26 March 2008
Good breakfast from 7.30 am. which was a little late for us on the day of departure. The shower was very hard to turn on. The fridge was empty which was OK so we could put our own drinks in it. We might stay here another time.

Standard and Cheap =]

11 September 2007
I stayed at this hotel during the end of August for 4 nights and found it very good considering it was cheap. Here is a quick review of my opinions of this Hotel. Tidyness: Very good as room service was provided everyday. The hotel was also very clean but I notices that the sheets were not changed everyday. Hotel Facilities: Could be better considering there was hardly any drinks available at the bar. Nothing much to do in the hotel or around the hotel area also. Free internet by the reception area! Breakfast service is also standard! Location: Good as there was a convenient tram running just outside the hotel. Very cheap also if using the T-10 ticket (allows you upto 10 journeys on their subway and tram with unlimited passengers). Also can reach Catalunya within 20mins. I would stay here again for a mini break to Barcelona! Recommended!

A bit far out but good value for money

07 August 2007
I was looking for a budget week with my 12 year old daughter. This hotel was just the ticket, enabling us to see Barcelona without breaking the bank. The hotel facilities were good and the staff helpful. The rooms comfortable and ensuite very clean with a good shower and an assortment of complimentary bits and bobs. On the down side there was no balcony in the room, and the view was of a building site. There was a mini fridge in the room, which we didn't use, but no kettle/tea or coffee making facilities. The TV was all Spanish channels, which was disappointing for my daughter. The buffet breakfast was very good. There was a large selection of cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, croissants and breads. Good coffee and plenty of it. I would say the breakfast was excellent. We didn't try the hotel restaurant in the evening. The menu just didn't appeal. The advert had suggested that there was a good infrastructure in the immediate area, but we had to walk quite a way to find anything much. There are about 3 bars within a 5-10 minute walk. They do cheap tapas and beer. If you go further there is a nice restuarant called La Font where we ate well and cheaply. You will find that a smattering of Spanish will help you in this area, as it is less touristy and therefore the locals weren't too hot on English. The air-conditioned tram into Barcelona city centre stopped both at the top and bottom of the road, the hotel is equidistant to both stops. The tram system is fantastic, buy a T-10 ticket on day one and you will not regret it. We also used the Renfe train which stops about 10-15 minutes walk away. It was a bit of a mission but we made it all the way to Sitges on the train. Which is so worth a visit! We thought the small swimming pool was a little disappointing. It is a small pool, although there were only a very few people using it and this was 1st week of August, peak time. The sun-beds were a bit hard and not comfortable. No pool towels were available so take your own. There is no bar service at the pool. Overall, I was pleased with this hotel. If it had been closer to the main centre then it would have been even better. But value for money it certainly was, and for this reason I would probably recommend it. Be prepared to walk a bit and use the very good public transportation system.

Great Value for Money

Fantastic Hotel with excellent rooms and friendly staff. Everything nice and new and clean. Hotel is right on the tram line (Consell Comarcal line T3) into central Barcelona, just 15mins. A few little grocery shops around but nothing after hours. Hotel restaurant was not the best quality and I wouldn't suggest eating there. But overall a great place to stay and would definately stay again.
