What our customers say

It’s a lovely red brick building, out of place amongst its more contemporary surrounding and occupies a rather peculiar corner plot. There is no parking, but an NCP directly opposite and the hotel offers valet parking.

This was the first thing that we took advantage of, a very friendly chap just inside the door took the keys and the details and removed it to an undisclosed destination. He also took the day and time that we where leaving and promised to have the car back then.
Of course this wasn’t free but we figured that the £12.50 per day was well worth the safety of the car and would probably cost about the same as the NCP.

Finally we did get to Booking in, the staff were excellent, professional but friendly and quick. They had already allocated us our room, when I double checked and found it was no smoking. Not a problem though, changed immediately without a murmur.

While this was going on I was taking stock of the foyer. It was a large airy area with plenty of big windows, the bar was also there and there was plenty of tables, comfy chairs and squishy sofas, Coffee and tea was also available at all times without charge. Thankfully the big TV was far away in the corner.

Being completely lazy we took the lift to the second floor and went looking for our room.

I was sooo impressed when we found it. One of my pet hates is noisy neighbours, so I was a bit chipper when I found ours was the only room on that side of the corridor. No one next to us and due to the layout no one below us.

The probably did compromise the size of the room though, which was quite small, the king size bed running alongside a wall. First impressions were good, it was bright and airy, there was a desk and chair, next to it a small chest of drawers with a large TV and a separate chair.
There was a slight problem, in that if you sat at the desk to use the mirror you couldn’t sit on the bed and watch the telly!
But whilst he was checking out the telly, I’m doing my scrupulous dirt checking Sad to say, the place was absolutely spotless. It got checked from top to bottom, bath, drawers, bed sheets, pillows and even the lampshade got a stain and dirt free check.

Alan of course is still interested in the TV at this point, which of course is no ordinary TV! For all you boys its got a Playstation! 5 family orientated games at £2.95 an hour, if its checking your e-mail you wants its going to cost you 1
