What our customers say
Just returned from the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa after a stay of 5 nights in August 2008. Firstly the hotel is not far from the airport. The journey was about 30 minutes. The hotel itself lies in the heart of the Jumeriah mile. The staff were excellent, at times a bit too helpful as in wanted to open every door or if i had let them them would have put my socks on for me. The majority of the staff are from India and the Phillipines and there attitude and manners are impechable. The food at the many resturants is excellent. The beach is at the end of the hotel with crystal clear water. The Mall of the Emirates is close by too a short taxi ride. I believe that it is the largest shopping centre in the Middle East. Then around the corner you have the Walk and pavemented area ( very rare in Dubai) where you can walk beside the sea and admire the spledour of the buildings. I would recommend a Deria boat cruise with dinner and the desert safari. A visit to the souks is a must ( the real Dubai) and to Wadi Park ( the water park at Jumeriah hotel) which is opposite the Burg ( the alleged 7 star hotel). What however struck me the most about Duabi is the great family atmopshere and the lack of yobs and drunks on the streets which was a heaven sent. Taxis are cheap by UK standards. The palce is as commerical as they come but hey DuabI is probably like no other place so just enjoy it. Lastly Aplha rooms gave me the best deal on this hotel by far.
