A Great Hotel!
01 September 2008
We have just returned from a two week holiday in Salou 29/08/08. We stayed in the H10 Saularis Palace. It is a very friendly hotel, clean and very family orientated.
The staff are always happy to help and the cleaners work hard making the rooms nice every day.
The hotel has a lovely pool which is kept immaculately clean. On Thursdays they have inflatables in the pool which are fantastic fun!
We stayed half board and the food was great. Breakfast ranged from toast right through to full cooked including individually made omelettes and pancakes. Evening meal was buffet, including soups, salad, cooked meals, then an array of cakes, pastries and fresh fruit. Drinks were not included but were very fairly priced. There was also a pool snack bar which did pizzas, sandwiches drinks etc and again it was clean, the service was fast, and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend this hotel to all families and we will definitely be returning next year!

best holiday ever - top notch hotel
17 July 2008
Back from the h10 salauris palace in salou about week now and must recommend it! We stayed for a week and experienced no problems at all. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept and rooms are cleaned every morning by their friendly staff.
We went half board and ate in the hotels buffet nearly every night. They have a brilliant selection of food for eastern europeans( fruit, salads, cold meats ect.) and being irish we found something to eat everytime! The breakfasts were top-class with fresh food brought out every few minutes.
The pool was excellent and very clean with lifeguards on duty at all times. While we were staying there, they had a pool party for kids with blow up toys in the pool! The little restaurant by the pool was very good with a wide selections of pizza's nd pasta for everyone.
The entertainment was average for a spanish hotel but was still enjoyable. Its very close to Portaventura theme park, not even 5 minutes up the road. Its about 100 euro for a family of 4 for a day pass and the aqua park likewise.
The hotel does bus trips tp barcellona and we chose the one that had a visit to nou camp football stadium, 2 hours free time around barcellona center and then a trip to the barcelona magic fountains, i would strongly recommend going on one of these trips!
I would definetly go back 2 this resort and hotel and if you have a family of age 3-18 it would be a perfect holiday!

FANTASTIC HOTEL
23 June 2008
We have just returned from our honeymoon in the Salauris Palace and have nothing but 100% praise for it. The staff without exception were wonderful and helpful. We have 3 kids, and they still sing the songs from the minidisco. Big thanks to Nicole and the wonderful Maria who were absolutely brilliant with them. We left with a very heavy heart and miss the place a lot.

Great location, friendly service, two good swimming pools and loads for the kids to do. I've stayed there twice now and it's the best in Salou.

Definately recommend Salauris Palace
06 November 2007
Just back from this hotel 24th October, stayed here 5 years ago and it was just as good. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned every day and clean towel left every day. Lots of choice in dining room. Was always well presented and hot, (which a lot of Spanish hotels lack) the entertainment was great most nights, lots of hotels in the area to check out their entertainment if Salauris not got good acts on. 10 minutes to beach and 10 minutes to Theme park. The swimming pool is great and also the indoor pool very popular at this time of year. great steam room and jacuzzi (look very new) (No charge). Small gym if you can get the energy up after all the food. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, only wish I was there for 2 weeks. Will defo go again.

Second stay at H10 SP
20 October 2007
Have just returned yesterday having stayed in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and the hotel & rooms very clean. One downside however, considering we were on holiday with a child, was the room we were allocated on arrival. This was right above the bar area and was very noisy. The hotel staff allowed us to move rooms and from then on the holiday was very good. The food in the dining room once again was first class and we would recommend this hotel to others especially those wishing to vist the theme park which is very close by.

Outstanding hotel
03 June 2007
Have been to the resort of Salou a few times in the last couple of years. Always gone self catering as usually i find hotel food boring and repetative. This is not what i experienced here. The food was not only fantastic but all of the staff not only working in the dining room but throughout the hotel worked extremly hard to give great service and they definately achieved this. We visited all the surrounding hotels during the evening to see what evening entertainment they had but always found ourselves returning to our own hotel as it was defiantely the best. The rooms were very clean the cleaners came in every day and gave clean linen and towels which we thought were excellent. Will definately be returning to the hotel!

H10 Salauris Palace
21 May 2007
10th May 2007
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the H10 Salauris Palace and are already planning to return later this year. We have stayed at H10 hotels before and always found them to be excellent. Salou is a very pleasant resort Port Aventura is nearby, also Tarragona and Barcelona are not far away. The food at the hotels was excellent with lots of choice, you could eat as much as you liked. The cleanliness of rooms and common areas including the pool was always first class. The staff were always cheerful and helpful.
It is a short walk to the beach and shops. The beach front area with restaurants and fountain reminded us a little of Itally. A great holiday and a great price through alpharooms.

15 October 2006
For the money we paid through Alpha rooms this was an excellent hotel. I had read many reviews that said the food was very German orientated, but our 7 year old who can be quite fussy managed every night to find something he liked. Both adults in the party found the food to be of a high standard. The rooms are really comfortable, but if you like a bit of peaceand quiet ask for a room as far away from the bar area as possible as the night time entertainment can be a bit noisy. This hotel is ideally suited for portaventura theme park, Salou centre and the station for a visit to Barcelona. Don't know what this hotel would be like in the summer but for a last minute October break it was A+++

Review of 'H10 SALAURIS PALACE'
20 September 2006
There was a total of 8 of us travelling to Salou, oldest 60, youngest 13. We travelled Friday morning until Monday night, so four full days, long weekend. Fantastic holiday. Chilly first 2 days but hot in afternoons and 2nd days very hot. This is usual for September we found out. The hotel is every accommodating on arrival. Our rooms were books for 2 in each room but we managed to get rooms with 3 beds in 3 rooms and one with 4. Large and clean. Nice balconies, with airers included. The hotel is situated in the "nicer part of Salou- by an entertainer who lives in the area". It is far enough away from the rowdy drunks, but close enough to be one and stumble back to the hotel. There is night security on the reception desk also. 5minutes from the beach and shops and main bars. great situation. we stayed half board. selection for breakfast, including fruit, continental, and cooked, all fresh. dinner, would advise to go early to dinner as more of a selection and nicer food. only a small variety of meats ie. 2 and one fish. but chips and small kiddies area were always available. The restaurant had a conservatory area attached on the side which had a slightly nicer atmosphere and round tables for groups up to 10. This was ideal for us to eat together. All in all great time. Salou is a great place and i've looked for flights next weekend already!! The theme park is over the road to the hotel. Although we didnt visit this year, we did last year and its a grat day out. Go on, try it!!!! Have a lovely holiday!

Review of 'H10 SALAURIS PALACE'
06 September 2006
The hotel was excellent! The rooms and hotel in general was immaculate. The rooms were cleaned every day, including towel changes and bed linen. The pool area although very good, the water was extremely cold, which for children wasnt ideal. Also, it clearly said at the hotel that no sunbeds were to be reserved. This sign was a waste of time, as coming down to the pool at 9.00am, there were towels on the sunbeds already and nothing was said to the people who did this. The bar was very reasonable, infact cheaper than outside bars. However, at the evening, in the restaurant, take your own drinks, or from the bar as they do not provide drinks free. If you do want drinks in the actual restaurant, it works out very expensive e.g. 2.20 euros for a small soft drink (as at Aug 06). We did enjoy the stay at this hotel. It was definately money well spent!

tHE STAFF AT THE CHECK IN SPOKE GOOD ENGLISH, VERY FRENDLY WITH ME AS A SINGLE PERANT TRAVELLER WITH TWO CHILDREN AGES 9 & 6.
The room was excellant with 3 beds , air con, a mini safe a good safe balcony overlooking Portaventura Theme Park. The room was serviced daily to a high standard with towelschanged daily & bedding every other day.
The restaruant was standard to a large spanish hotel with a buffet style service at two point along with a childrens buffet. Each day there were differant choices from a fourth counter which offered a grill selection. Chips were on daily for dinner along with a wide choice of starters & a great choice of deserts to please all including a full table of fresh fruit.
Breakfast again was a good choice from the buffets( if you got down before 9am their was a offering of Cava & orange juice).
Pool was a good size , no problems with getting sunbeds although not a lot of space most days. Evening entertainment was not fantastic, but we were in the Portaventura theme park until late each eveing so did not stay around too long after the kids disco at 9pm or the parrot show one eveing(10euro for a picture was a bit steep)
The hotel is a plesant 15 min walk to the Porta ventura theme park & a 28euro taxi ride from Reus airport taxi's were excellant booked one & it arrived within 5 mins.
The hotel has a baggague room free of charge which has a shower room with towells 5*.
I would travel & stay in this hotel agin no problems ( I used to work for Hilton for 10yrs so have high standards which this hotel did not disappoint)

This hotel is ideal for those wanting to visit Port Aventura but not pay the extortionate rates of the hotels linked to the Theme Park. The bedrooms are huge with large balconies. Scrupulously cleaned by very pleasant staff every day. Food was fantastic with a great selection of veggie options and meat/fish etc. Best food I've had in a buffet style hotel to date. Entertainment a bit naff at night, and bar prices a bit high, but its handy if you have small kids and don't want to go far. Salou itself isn't very nice now, a bit tacky, but if you have a car or are prepared to travel by bus, there's lots of interesting places to visit, i.e. Tarragona only half an hour away, and its blissfully tourist free. All in all a fantastic hotel and would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous!I cannot put a bad word against the H10 Salauris Palace. The staff are friendly and helpful, the pool is wonderful, not forgetting the rooms which are spotlessly clean and chic. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and is easy to find once you have been given a map from reception, which is what we did. The theme park Port Aventura is also a simple 10 minute walk away. An absolute must is to visit the Solarium on the roof of the hotel where the outdoor jacuzzi is situated. You can sit there and sunbathe watching the theme park all day long!We also went full board at the hotel which is a good choice because the food is delicious, especially the breakfasts! However we still did manage to eat on the waters edge at a lovely restaurant on the beach. The only negative towards this area is that there is not much for a young couple to do, once the theme park and beach has been done, therefore we felt that four nights was a substantial visit.Once again, a lovely hotel and i hope to return one day.

not 4 star hotel
22 August 2006
Just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel - did not think it rated 4* status. The main reason for this hotel was that it was close to the Park but by the time you get back to the hotel they are closing the bar and putting you inside the hotel for 5 mins before moving to the main foyer where there are no machines for drinks (I dont just mean alchoholic). The food was not up to the standard that I have been used to in a 3* although would have to say the lunches are better than the evening meal. We had an early morning flight and they did not make the restaurant available for even a cold breakfast before heading to the airport which was a bit disappointing as there is no kettle in your room to mak your own have tea/coffee. The sunbeds were a joke as about 90% were broken although would have to say on our second last day I did see new ones arriving. I dont normally sned reviews of hotels bu feel that I had to with this one as it has been my most expensive holiday so far and threfore was maybe looking for a little more.

Very good hotel with all the expected facilities. The food in the restaurant varied from day to day and so we all found something we enjoyed on a day to day basis. We had a very young child with us and found the evening childrens entertainment starting at 9pm - 10pm to late for her and thus had to give it a miss. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly but unfortunately we had a problem with the language barrier. We can't speak Spanish and they could't understand English and so ordering drinks in the restaurant became a real task! I found this surprising considering the quantity of English tourists each week.

just got home today after spending 1 week here, had a great time the room was big and airy with 2 double beds, spacious bathroom and nice balcony. the room was spotlessly clean on checkin and cleaned everyday.the check in was smooth other than our room was not ready, but we did arrive @ 1030hrs,but our cases were swiftly deposited in their luggage store allowing us to start our holiday. the food very good and entertainment excellent, and all the staff were very polite, friendly and very helpful. We would both definately recommend this hotel and the resort, plenty of good level walking, and if your that way inclined the theme park Port Adventura is only a 5 minute walk up a gentle hill.

My son (6) and I stayed here in August 2005, we both loved it and can't wait to go back. The rooms were spotless and spacious with air conditioning and a balcony. The food was delicious and we tried lots of different dishes during our stay. Ben loved the kid's activities and it was hard to get him to leave the hotel some days. It's within waking distance of Port Aventura (our favourite theme park)and the beach. We'd recommend the hotel and Salou itself to everyone.

Just returned from a superb visit to this excellent hotel with a group of 27 friends. The facilities are good, the hotel is very clean and the food plentiful and of good quality.
The teenagers in the party (all 15 of them) had an excellent time both in the hotel, where they were entertained by Susi and Maria from the Animacion team, and at Port Adventura(a 10 minute walk). The World Rally Championship taking place this weekend was an added bonus.
We would definitely visit this hotel again.

This hotel has the WOW factor for us. The hotel room was exellent, it has great air conditioning, is very spacious, has a great bathroom and powerful shower(just what you need after a day in the hot sun), and very comfortable beds. The views from the rooftop are breathtaking and the rooftop jaccuzzi is just gorgeous. The restaurant is outstanding and has a wide range of delicious foods from all round the world. Everything is so clean and everyone is so very helpful. The lovely blue pool is as good as it looks in the brochure and theres plenty of places to lounge in the sun with the waiter bringing your drinks. Theres great evening entertainment for everyone and games throughout the day for adults and children. And if the weather i'snt good then theres the indoor heated pool, jaccuzzi, sauna and gym if u fancy a splash etc.The close location of Port Aventura and the water parks has great advantages if you are a family, a group or even a couple like us,and the close proximity of the town of Salou has so much to offer it makes for a great holiday. Great Hotel Great surroundings and Great people.....WOW !!

Salauris Palace is a great famliy hotel. The rooms were spacious, air conditioned and quiet. Bathroom was basic, but showers were very powerful. Entertainment is provided by the pool every night until midnight, with waiters serving drinks to all. There was always plenty of food, with a variety of choice, which satisfied our teenagers with large appetites! A good situation, both for the beach and Port Aventura - we would certainly book this hotel again.

28 June 2005
This is a very comfortable hotel and is exceptionally clean with well kept public areas and gardens. It has a very cosmopolitan atmosphere with Spanish, German and French guests rubbing shoulders with the ubiquitous British and Irish patrons. It is a very family orientated hotel with daily activities aimed at children and parents alike along with a play area, kids club and games room. The pool is fantastic with plenty of beds and parasols to go around. The hotel is also within realistic walking distance of Port Aventura theme park and the adjoining water park. We were half-board and found the food to be very acceptable with nothing too exciting to write home about. They are catering to various nationalities and this has to taken into account when confronting the buffet. For the evening meal there is a small children's buffet with the usual kids favourites to keep them quiet. The staff in general are very friendly with the exception of the bar staff in the main hotel bar who came across as disinterested and cold. As for Salou, I can take it or leave it but the hotel is a great choice for families with children under 14.

Review of 'H10 SALAURIS PALACE'
22 June 2005
I am surprised that this hotel has no reviews. This is my second visit to this hotel and would have no problem about returning. The hotel cannot be faulted on any count. The hotel was spotless and the bedrooms were a decent size with very comfortable beds, safety deposit box in room at no charge, television, mini fridge( €3 per day if you use it), air conditioning and ample wardrobes and drawers. Standard bathroom, the shower had plenty of pressure and the water was always hot even at peak showering times. The maid was a lovely lady and the room was cleaned everyday. The restaurant was spacious, we had plenty of choice of lovely food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was always well presented and warm with a good variety. We enjoyed it so much that we never ate out in the 10 days that we spent at the hotel.
The facilities at the hotel were excellent, good entertainers and entertainment all day. Lovely main pool plus indoor & childrens pool with lifegaurd. Solarium & jacussi on roof. Basic fitness room. ATM in foyer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Best location in Salou, 10 mins to beach, shoping area and theme park. Also 10 mins by taxi from Reus airport, fare €27. Quiet. Bought 15 day tickets at the theme park for €71 which is not well advertised and meant we could come and go as it suited us, (€63 for 3 day is normally advetised). The only drawback was the ease that children could get access to the solarium on the roof which I though was dangerous. All in all I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anybody.
