There are better hotels out there!

15 June 2008
Hello, I would describe the H10 Las Palmeras as a pretty ordinary hotel and probably not in the 4 star bracket. The location is very good, close to lots of shops, restaurants, and sandy beaches. The rooms are very basic with a dated looking decor, and the pool area is a bit too full of palm trees and lawns, making the space for sunbeds very limited. The staff were quiet friendly, although on our first day I recieved very bad attitude from the reception staff when I requested to change the room we were given, we booked a pool/sea view room but we were given a room on the first floor from which we could see nothing but the tops of trees. If you are going to the Los Cristianos region of Tenerife then I would recommend firstly booking a different hotel, and secondly staying on a 'room only' or 'B&B' basis as there are a huge selection of really cheap yet excellent restaurants in the area, thank you.

HOTEL REVIEW

Friendly staff, excellent food. Would have appreciated tea and coffee making facilities. Rather small pool area. Rocky beach unsuitable for bathing. A good ten minutes from nice sandy beaches. Caters for vegetarians and wheelchairs.Stayed late April 2008.

Great Location

Just back form a week staying in the H10 Las Palmerias which we really enjoyed the location is fantastic but the hotel is mainly geared towards Mainland Europeans which is fine but it would have been nice to meet some other english speaking people which were few and far between, having said that the food was excellent the stafff were very friendly especially the reception staff who were very helpful another point to make is that the guests in this hotel are quiete elderely and a lot would be wheelchair bound so if you are looking for lively maybe this is not the place for you however we did thourougly enjoy our week here and would consider staying agian.

Great holiday this is our 2nd time at las palmeras. We had to change room for the noise (building work), then we got the only room in the hotel without any sun ever to reach the balcony, room number 436.
The staff were very nice.
Our stay was from 20 feb 07 to 27 feb 07 in Tenerife.

We've just come back from a wonderful Xmas and New Year at the Las Palmeras from 22nd Dec. 2006 to 2nd Jan 2007. This was our 3rd stay here. The Hotel is immaculate everywhere and the staff are really helpful. The variety of food here is amazing, especially the Gala meals! The rooms are big and clean. The pool area is excellent, sun all day long and plenty of sunbeds for everyone! No need to get up at 5am to put a towel out! The Hotel is situated in the middle of everything. We've stayed at the sister hotel The Conquistador, but we rate this one higher! Plenty of entertainment for kids and adults. Enjoy your stay!

We cannot really fault the hotel, even if you are fussy with food you could always find something to eat, the rooms were clean, we would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room, the staff were friendly, the location is very central to bars shops and restaurants, i think they could work on there entertainment programme a bit more, it didnt encourage you to stay in the hotel very night.
There grounds within the hotel are very nice with two pools and plenty of sun beds and lots of plants and trees all in all a good time was had by all.

The hotel food was excellant, there was entertainment each night of varying quality. The rooms were very small but adequate I suppose. The heated pool was small but again better than none, the main pool was freezing and no-one used it. Very good location and views were also very good. Would recommend it but must stress that I have never stayed in such small rooms but then again you dont go to Tenerife to stay in !

We stayed at Las Palmeras for x-mas 2005, the hotel is very friendly and comfortable, food is good, the room we had was nice however for a 4* we were disapointed to find there is no tea/coffee making facility, maid service is very good.
There is one other thing we were disapointed with as a 4*,we had to pay for pool side mattres's and xmas gala dinner was a bit of a flop no festive spirit at all no table decoration what a let down!
