Yeassah,
entering the Hotel it looks warm and freindly. Checking-in is easy and fast. The rooms do need quite a bit of updating as well as all the other rooms in the hotel. When it rains it rains inside as well. The staff is very freindly. The waiters and barpersonel all speaks quite good englisch and is always willing to help you.
During the day and night there are a lot of activities for the kids and adults. All kids from 4 till 12 years old can go to the miniclub-Daisy where they enjiy the handicrafting and games. For the adults there are activities such as archery, rifle-shooting, sjoelen (funny dutch game) and aerobics. At night the always smiling animation team helps the proffessional shows with lights and music or perform a show themselves! The shows ae are a mix of funny and fantastic songs from Grease, Starlight Express and the Lion king. for everybody something to do and see. If you dont like the shows you always welcome in the piano-bar with live music.
From the hotel it is really easy to walk to the beach, city center and marina through the back gate (sadly it shuts at 19:00).
It is a freindly and good hotel for everybody. It needs a bit of an update/referbishment/ upgrade to stay attractive and keep al its starts but they are working on it!
If you're looking for a relaxed holiday in PLaya Blanca, lanzarote then The Princess is a good hotel.
enjoy your holiday

What a fabulous hotel.  Very palatial, just like the name.  Environment and the facilities and staff could not be faulted.

The first room we were given (ground floor, pool side) was dark and appeared narrow and uninviting.  They happily moved us to an alternative which was our home and base for a week - much better and very comfortable (room 2107).

Two criticisms:

1. I used my laptop and badly wanted WiFi connectivity to pick up and send pictures back to UK - keeping in contact with our children left behind.  I had to go to nearby cafe (Wax) where the WiFi was free and I achieved my objective.  A free WiFi in the Hotel reception area would cost them nothing and be very useful!

2.  The food was varied and plentiful, but lacked in "dynamic taste".  e.g. the "theme evenings", Mexican, Italian etc - the food was bland and lacked real spicy flavours - easily achieved in other restaurants in the town.  I appreciate the hotel is catering for 1000+ people, but occasional really spicy challenging dishes for people like me who have ruined their taste buds would be nice.

However to conclude on a positive note -  I must say - that this is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in - so well done!!

This is our second trip to Lanzarote Princess. Hotel is looking a bit tired for a 4 star but the staff are friendly and the food is very good! Lots of the guests have returned several times to this hotel! The weather was good (cloudy but hot) The position of the hotel is excellent - close to a nice beach and walking distance to the centre of Playa Blanca. There are no noisy clubs and is ideal for older couples and for families. Car hire can be recommended as the roads are easy for driving.

The hotel was lovely, the kids club was really good, food was excellent as it is in other H10 hotels we've stayed at. The location was great only 5 minutes walk from the beach, shops and bars. We had a refurbished family room which was lovely, really spacious and on the ground floor which was ideal as we had a buggy. The pool area was nice and very clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

like all hotels in lanzarote it is low rise. built around a very sunny pool area excellent animation team with versatile performers on alternate nights with semi pro outsiders.themed food restaurants good food .in the piano bar there are two really good musicians who enjoy playing.biggestletdown they lock you in at 7 pm to stop you going out the back gate nearest the seafront bars even though the bars are more expensive they say security, although they have 2 security staff patrolling at night?

Personaly I would only rate this hotel as 3*, it is some years old now & could definately do with an upgrade, the cracks are definatly beginning to appear. That said the locaion is just right being in the midle of the resort, out of the hotel turn left for the newer "Rubicorn Marina" and the suposedly upmarket side of the resort, turn right for the older end of the resort.  All the staff were friendly & helpfull, the pool area & bars were clean & well maintained. The restraunt was well stocked, but as usual with people on holiday the "I've paid so I'm avinit brigade" were all around to see.

Hotel nice - does need to be updated though bathrooms definately need an overhaul with old white tiles and lots of black mould in places. Plenty of seating areas in reception and bar etc. Food good entertainment OK. Unfortunately out of a 10 day holiday we had ony 1.5 days of nice weather so this put a slight dampner on the holiday. Hotel staff very friendly. Be careful that you are not double booked in this hotel - when I checkedin I was told that the hotel was full and would have to move to another nearby - as I was a single lady and my other friends where staying in this hotel a room was found for me. Some balconies had problems with blocked views and problems with wasps and the cactus plants growing outside. Would go back but would hope hotel had been updated.

Had a great time here, weather was great hotel was very clean with lots to do.    All the staff were very friendly and managed to get nearly everyone involved in the activities/shows without pestering you.  2 mins out side the hotel is a nice bay with the usual water sports and little shopping arcade.    The walk in to town is flat with two routes, one is direct and follows the road, the other a more scenic route along the coastline with lots of lovely little bars and restaurants but again no pestering you to go in.  The town has a good variety of shops and caters for everyone.    Tour - I would recommend the lunar tour is out of this world (excuse the pun!!) and if you have time hire a car as after the tour you will want to go back to some of the places, driving is very easy out there with not a lot of traffic.    There is the usual market selling much of the same stuff but remember to get a bargain you must haggle.    Overall a beautiful place - great hotel with lovely staff – can’t wait to go back .)
