Nothing Short Of Paradise
10 July 2008
What a beautiful hotel! It's stunning, in location and design and everything is so well thought out. The interior layout is fabulously open and airy with the impressive lobby area having plenty of gorgeous big sofas in which to lose yourself. This leads on to a piano bar area, billiards and an internet corner (charge). The exterior is laid out over different levels and is stunning, with gorgeous sea views and distant views of Gibraltar and Africa. The pool area is magnificent, with waterfall features over 2 sections of the pool. Access to beach from the pool area. 2 restaurants at pool level - the main one serves breakfast and dinner, the other is open for a few hours in the afternoon for lunch/snacks. Selection at breakfast was out of this world, the best we've had. The lunch/snack side of things was only alright, mediocre at best and the service here was a bit hit and miss. The hotel seems to cater very well for children with an organised Kids Club. There are also tennis courts and Spa facilities. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. The highlight for us was the fabulous ChillOut Bar area overlooking the sea. Open from 6pm until late, it was idyllic to sit on the huge comfy cane chairs listening to mellow tunes, reading or watching the world go by. The staff here add to the relaxed ambiance and can't do enough for you. In summary, we can't recommend this hotel highly enough. If you're looking in the Estepona area, this is the perfect choice if you want to be a little removed from the town/port area but not compromise on facilities. Lastly, if you go into Estepona town for dinner do try El Rincon Toscano for great Italian food and relaxed but attentive service. Buon Apetito!

Excellent Hotel
21 September 2007
This hotel is excellent for facilities, rooms and food.
We stayed in September for 11 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The hotel was clean, well maintained and the staff overall were very good. The location a short walk from the marina was very impressive, the town itself had some lovely plazas to relax over a coffee and was worth a visit.
We will probably return at some stage as it is a venue with merit and well worthy of a high recommendation.
Try it!

Very relaxing
13 August 2007
Lovely hotel, impressive entrance hall, had sea view room which was clean, good air conditioning. Food enjoyable. Lovely pool area free sunbeds or through gate onto beach with free sunbeds, although beach is a bit pebbly in front of hotel but if you walk round the rocks to the left going towards Estapona marina the beach does get better. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a good base for the costa del sol.

Clean nice hotel with excellent spa on site. Breakfast was plentiful and really tasty. Had a beautiful view right over the beach. Definately book with ALpha Rooms again as they faxed through booking as we had a function at the hotel and wanted to make sure the booking was confirmed

Review of 'H10 ESTEPONA PALACE', Estepona
27 May 2006
Very pleasant beach side modern hotel located to the west of Estepona with great views (in the distance) of Gibraltar and the Africa's Atlas Mountains to the west. The hotel is popular with a wide range of age groups including Spanish, German and some ‘Brits’. Building works to expand the hotel are now fully complete - there is no risk that your stay will be interrupted by on site building works.
While there is plenty of sporting and spa ‘activities’ and bar facilities on site, the hotel is a brisk 25 minutes walk from Estepona where a wide selection of restaurants and bars can be found in the marina area. However, there is a Shell petrol station and mini supermarket 5 minutes walk away which will take the sting out of those Mini bar prices! Parking is a problem for those with hire cars; the car parking facilities to the front of the hotel are minimal and poorly set out – this encourages bad parking which will on occasions challenge your driving skills to escape from. There is an underground car park which is equally challenging to reach while negotiating the aforementioned badly parked cars – you will be charged and ‘entertainment fee’ of 5 Euros per day for successfully reaching the underground car park – the charge is very annoying. There is live entertainment provided in the Piano Bar in the evenings which ranges from mediocre to very good. Food is a help yourself buffet which in common with other H10 hotel I have stayed in is, very good.
Rooms are clean, cool (air con works well) and comfortable. Sky News & CNN are the only English-language TV channels on offer and there is no pay per view film channel. Beware of rooms close to the function halls – the hotel is popular for wedding receptions, etc which can be very noisy affairs late into the night. Rooms with see views will attract a premium charge.
Service is general very good with everybody pleasant and helpful. The reception staff has improved its act since my last stay and have also addressed a major annoyance; Sterling credit card holders would previously be presented a bill by the payment terminal for an amount converted into sterling with a mark-up fee – the reception staff did not know how to override payment to Euros without a mark-up fee. This is a gerneral annoyance for Brits in Sothern Spain and very annoying if you have a creit card that does not charge a Euro conversion fee. But, that’s been fixed. The only service element that is l

Review of 'H10 ESTEPONA PALACE'
05 May 2006
On arriving at the Estepona Palace on 25 April 2006, I was very impressed with the reception and open areas. For a single traveller, the room was very large and had all the convieninces you'd expect, with the exeption of the advertised air conditioning. Although they said it was being worked on, I didn't have aircon for all of my 5 day stay. The pool area is beautiful, which is just as well, as the beach is very poor. Food was basic, though there was plenty of choice, but as with most buffets, I found the food to be only warm, not hot. Being very early in the season, some of the terrace bars and pool bar were not yet open. The indoor swimming pool was outof service, and workmen were still working on a large area of the hotel, though they did stay out of the way of the main areas. There was nothing really around the area, and for anyone wanting to venture out in the evening, it was a good 25 minute walk to the harbour where the bars and restaurants were. All in all not too bad. Think this will be a lot better during high season when everything is up and running and in full working order.

Great Place to stay
04 October 2005
Excellent hotel. Top class service with friendly staff. Food excellent and compared to like hotels it excels in its quality and service. My wife and I stayed there while we were guests at a nearby wedding that was held in a 5* hotel - I preferred the Estepona Palace. The rooms are great, bars reasonable. It costs and extra 16€ per day for sea facing rooms but it is worth it. I will use this hotel again. I stayed in late Sept - Oct and it was not too packed but there was evidence of if it being a family hotel - references to kids clubs etc - which would not be my preference as I did not have kids with me. However for those who have kids it is really terrific but I suspect this would be during school holidays. You can walk round the coast to the town in 10-15 minutes. PS I was also impressed with Alpha rooms - this is the first time I have used them.

Review of 'H10 ESTEPONA PALACE'

The Estepona Palace was delightful! Visited there for ten days in July and it was just amazing. Gorgeous rooms cleaned everyday, large pool, health suite, fantastic freshly cooked food - would go back in a second. Being a young couple the night entertainment leaved alot to be desired and we went out into town every night. . . but that never bothered us as we never intended to stay in! The staff were very friendly however only ever spoke to you in Spanish which was fine for my boyfriend who speaks Spanish - but i was rather lost most of the time! You have to pay extra when you are there to go to the health suite on the bottom floor but i would strongly recommend you do so! I had a very relaxing massage then went into the health suite - was a lovely end to a day of sun-bathing! Lots on by the pool during the day if you like that kind of thing! Would give this hotel 10/10 - was such a treat!

What you should know about 'H10 ESTEPONA PALACE'
04 July 2005
There is only one word to describe the H10 Estepona Palace hotel: Beautiful. It really is a magnificent retreat, a little like paradise away from the crowds. The design of the building is a white moor-like palace and the vaste interior has been designed with incredible flair and good taste. Walls display large wonderful etchings and paintings, along the style of Matisse or Tapies, which blend into the the whole design of the building. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and also beautifully designed. Rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the pool and the sea; each room has a balcony. The slightly cheaper rooms towards the front do have the disadvantage of being next to the road but even so the sea can still be seen. The pool is vaste, with a jacuzzi and you are never out of your depth. There are numerous showers around the pool and ample toilets, so that you never have to go far. The small private beach just at the back of the hotel is a little stoney but otherwise nice and private. The breakfast and dinner is a buffet which provides such variety and choice, that sometimes we ate more than one dinner in an evening I am ashamed to say! I also ate a lot more for breakfast than I normally would. If you don't want to get up in the morning you simply phone reception when you wake and a friendly waiter serves you a huge delicious breakfast in your room up until mid-day! The staff were helpful, friendly and very hard workers. The only down side was the fact that it was a little too far from Estepona town. So if you wish to venture outside the hotel, the closest place to walk to was the Estepona Marina, about a 15 minute walk. Although there are shops, bars and restaurants there, it appeared tired and lacked atmosphere. There was no music in the restaurants and the disco bars/nightclubs were empty except for the staff. The food was mediocre in the restaurants. We definately decided we were better off eating and drinking in the hotel, where there was also evening entertainment in the bar. So if you want a heavenly, luxurious and peaceful holiday, away from hustle and bustle, this hotel is the place for you.

Both room and bathroom very spacious, and most importantly extremely clean, along with other areas of the hotel. Lovely pool and plenty of comfortable loungers. Choice of food very good. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
