Great break June 2008
22 June 2008
Bahia Blanca Rock is great value. The rooms are clean and neat. The kitchen contains a kettle and microwave plus a reasonable amount of utensils. The cleaning service is very good. This hotel has a great location 5 minutes walk to the resort centre and located 2 minutes or less to the seashore. It is possible to walk or cycle to Papagayo beaches the best in all of Lanzarote from here. This hotel is very family friendly providing lots of children's entertainment. This is my second stay here and the service and facilities are consistently good. However this hotel complex does not have lively bar facilities but a big plus is the well stocked 'Netto' supermarket just on the doorstep.

h10 Bahia Rock
30 May 2008
Whilst the furnishings etc are basic the hotel has a lovely atmosphere, staff were very kind and the entertainment team were brilliant with my children 10, 8 and four months. I travelled with my mother and would recommend the hotels to others, I would certainly look at re booking this resort its very family friendly and a relaxing resort to holiday in. All amenities were at hand and a great holiday had by all.

Good as ever
29 May 2008
Booked with alpharooms who were excellent. I have been to BBR twice before and it didn't dissapoint. To be brief the location is great 5 mins to a great beach. Staff cannot do enough to help they alone are what you would expect in a 5* hotel. Rooms are tidy cleaned regulary if not a little dated, they are however in the process of refurbishing all rooms ! Food okay for what you pay, breakfasts good but evenings can be a little repetative, fantastic fish dishes. If you want really good food there are a couple of good restaurants in the town but the best are at Marina Rubicon 10 min walk away. Really there's not to much to say about this place it is simple but very effective. Worth every penny. I stayed with my girlfriend and our two children aged 4 and 7 months.

Review Bahia Blanca Rock
29 February 2008
This was our second stay in the H10 Bahia Blanca Rock. This 3 star aparthotel has alot going for it , great location- very close to beach and town.Rooms are well eqipped clean and most importantly not on top of eachother. The staff are very thoughtful and quick to assist. Playa Blanca is a stylish reasonably small resort and in February when we have stayed there, perfect for a relaxing break.Would reccomend this holiday for anyone who is not seeking a wild time.

Relaxing stay for Families
26 February 2008
My husband and our two young boys aged 5 and 7 months stayed here from the 15-27th of December. We booked through alpharooms.com and were pleased with the price as we went half board.
Upon arrival we found the hotel was clean and tidy, well maintained and the staff were lovely and very helpful. The pools were cold but our young boy enjoyed swimming most days and the weather was warm enough. The Daisy Club was awesome, the entertainment they provided for the children was excellent, my son wanted to attend everyday! The evening entertainment was excellent aswell and they really made it family orientated which was good if you have a young baby as you are not made to feel left out. This hotel would be ideal for young families/teenage children and older people as it is truly relaxing and even with lots of children around it's still very quiet!
The only dislike we had was the buffet dinner, it wasn't to our liking the food was plain but I suppose it was only 3 star equivalent. However, the breakfast buffet was delicious and the Pool Cafe was nice also. But overall we loved our stay and will definitely go back!! I'd recommend it to anyone!

Bahia Blanca Rock
17 February 2008
I loved this holiday, it was so easy to book (and about half the standard price through alpha-rooms), a short cab ride from the airport and a great hotel (despite a disappointing looking facade). The hotel was exactly as we'd expected through reading review/ photos on the web, but we were very plaeasantly surprised by the ease of checking in, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and the 5 min walk along a bourgonveilia lined walkway to the sea.
we went for half board and did not regret it. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious and nutritious, and always had a huge variety of food, including lots of fruit and vegetables.
The pool was a bit cool, and it was a very wet week, but the staff were unerring in their quest to keep the hotel swept and the pool clean (despite gales and monsoon rain). the location is fantastic, sandwiched between the poshest and second poshest hotels in the bay in a quiet part of town, but within a minutes walk to a bar/ cafe/ bike hire etc.
we all loved it. I want to got back now as I'm freezing

Review of H10 Bahia Blanca Rock
15 February 2008
Just back from our first visit to the Canary Islands and after reading various reviews booked Bahia Rock through Alpharooms. Easy stroll to the promenade of Playa Dorada and the children had a fantastic time in the pool and complex generally. The entertainment team provided various activities throughout the day and evening for both adults and children and by the end of the week we feel we have been away for at least a month. The apartment was cleaned and tidied regularly and the lunch menu was good value. We were self catering and we found a lovely restaurant at the promenade - which was no more expensive than the buffet dinner. They did have an offer on for three nights half board 15 euros pppn and half price for children but we sometimes prefer to have our main meal at lunchtime so only used the pool bar/cafe. The kidsclub is a free drop in service and they are based at the playpark so it just feels like they are away playing, but supervised, so we could have a couple of hours to ourselves. Would definitely like to go back which is something that I've never said about a hotel before. Also loved Lanzarote as a whole with the Cesar Manrique design adding something very special to this island. The volcanic scenery is amazing and the island is compact enough to easily drive around over a week.

Playa Blanca
11 December 2007
Second time that have stayed here. The first time was on a package holiday and was allocated on arrival. The second time we booked direct through Alpharooms because we were so impressed after the first time. The location is really good, less than 10 mins easy stroll to Playa Dorada beach. The rooms are excellent, maid service very good and generally a very high standard of customer service throughout. The actual premises are pleasantly laid out with central pool areas and all apartments have private terraces or balconies. Also very good prices. Willl definitely stay again.

Review of 'BAHIA BLANCA ROCK'
23 August 2006
as a student i was looking for a cheap place for us to stay in great part of Lanzarote. my parents visit Playa Blanca a few times a year and highly recommended it for a break. i came across the Bahia Blanca Rock on the internet while looking for a resonably priced hotel and it looked like it would be nice to spend a week in. however i was more than pleased when we arrived, with the accomadation and the location as well was just amazing. next time we visit Playa Blanca we'll definetly stay here, i loved it so much that my parents are staying here in October

Review of 'BAHIA BLANCA ROCK'
05 January 2006
I picked this hotel initially as my flight had changed and I couldn't make it to the ferry in time to get over to Fuerteventura where I was planning to stay for 2 weeks so needed an inexpensive place to stay close to the ferry for the evening. I have to say I was so impressed by this place. It was beautiful and clean, our balcony was over the stunning tropical garden that surrounded the pool, and it was within walking distance to the strip of quiet bars and restaurants in town. There were even toiletries in the bathroom such as shower gel, cap & shampoo which seemed unusual for an apartment rental. It was such a same to only be able to stay for one night but if I ever went back to Playa Blaca I would definatly make this accomodation my hotel of choice.

Review of 'BAHIA BLANCA ROCK'
11 November 2005
Just home after a week in the sunny resort of Playa Blanca and would definitely recommend the resort and accomodation for young families or people looking for a quiet getaway.
On arrival at the Bahia we were pleasantly surprised at what we got for our money. I think what made the apartments for us was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was helpful and polite and always had a smile on their faces and nothing seemed too much trouble. Set only a few minutes walk from the sea front and with a brand new supermarket just across the road, the accommodation itself comprises well kept apartments each with a bed room (with twin beds, cupboard, dressing table and mirror), lounge dinner (with table and chairs for dinner, settee, coffee table, cupboard with fan inside, television-only sky news, CNN and euro sport were in English, lamps and a phone), bathroom (with sink toilet small bath-which you fill with the shower- and shower attached to the wall) and balcony area with outdoor table and chairs and clothes dryer. The kitchen area is modestly fitted out and don’t expect to cook gourmet meals on your hob unless you have a few hours to spare but it has everything you need to get by. Our towels were changed every day and the whole apartment and the bed linen was cleaned twice in our week stay. The upstairs apartments (which we had) seemed to be the best as they had enclosed balconies but though other reviews I had read warned of no privacy due to the fact that the lounge dinner area has floor to ceiling windowed doors we didn’t experience this.
We didn’t spend much time in the apartment area itself but what I saw impressed, the half board consists of breakfast and evening meal. The food is perfectly edible but from what we saw the menu didn’t seem to change much. It’s self-service style so you can have as much or as little as your want. You can also buy lunch at the pool bar but I understand the hours vary depending on the season. Every morning the lifeguard cleaned the two small pools and tended the surrounding area. For the rest of the day the hotel events team offered those adults and children interested a variety of activities to get involved in and the hotel bar always had some form of entertainment on at night. If you don’t like mosquitos take plenty of repellent for the nights but I only saw a handful of cockroaches.

Review of 'BAHIA BLANCA ROCK'
17 October 2005
Stayed for two weeks in March 2005 on a half board basis on an allocated on arrival deal, so we were a bit apprehensive when we arrived in the late evening. The first pleasant surprise was when the receptionist informed us that we had been allocated a ground floor apartment quite near to the dining room as requested on booking as my wife has difficulty walking. This is an aparthotel where you have your own dining table, settee. fridge, kettle and hob which is much better than a hotel room. They are kept spotless and the cleaner comes every day but one, The staff were friendly and helpful. There are two pools neither are very large but spotless and one is heated. The restaurant served buffet type self service meals and there was always a wide choice and something for everyone and ample opportunity for over indulgence. The entertainment staff were great and very friendly and put on some great shows and afterwards mingled with the guests and put everyone at ease. Playa Blanca is a good resort with a good beach, coastal walk, taxis are cheap, weather good, good trips and sightseeing - a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at the highly enjoyable Playa Blanca Rock Hotel. I even went back again in July!
