Family Holiday
07 August 2008
Guitart Central Park is nice when you see it on the internet with nice pool areas and entertainment although the rooms are disgraceful - dirty mattresses, broken bathroom tiles and a stink in public areas. I recommend it for somebody wanting 2 star service and a noisy holiday. The Hotel is surely not up to 3 star standard.

Guitart Central Park Resort and Spa
16 June 2008
Guitart Central Park Resort and Spa is really a great hotel. I really recommend this hotel and I look forward to be back again. When we check in the receptionists where very helpful and talked to us politely. The room is not special but clean and had all the things we needed. The only thing that we did not like is that we could hear other people talk in the adjacent rooms especially when they shout they could wake you up, as they did.
I booked the hotel on a half board bases and it was really great. Why? I am a Coeliac and I was very afraid because I did not know if they can cater for me, but surprisingly when I talked to the restaurant manager, he and his waitresses where there to provide me with a gluten free diet for the whole week and where very helpful as even cooked for me separately. Every day we had different buffet.
The swimming pools are clean and always supervised.
For the evening we enjoyed music from musicians as we danced and even they had some shows.
I really recommend this hotel because for the money we spent it was really worth it and I have already recommended this hotel to my friends.

Stayed at the hotel as room only, pleasantly suprised as clean rooms and nice size. Location very near to the shops and bars and there is a selection of pools nearby.
Overall for the money a nice hotel, but basic

Within expectations
28 April 2008
Booked bed and breakfast. Only had one breakfast continental. Bacon and sausage appeared uncooked and risky. Room very small as was bathroom but had booked economy room. Very pleasant pools, garden and seating area. Close to beach and main shopping area. Would book again for short break only better standard rooms may give more room. TV no English Channel.

Pleasantly suprised
24 March 2008
Have just returned back from Guitart, and am pleasantly surprised, the rooms are small, but adequate, with maid service every day. The rooms are a little old fashioned, but fine for the purpose. It was a relief to find central heating in the room as spain was a lot colder than I expected. As it was not high season there was no kids club/ disco etc and the outside pools were too cold to go in. The saving grace was the indoor pool, although it did get quite busy and looks as though it could have done with a good clean. We stayed half board and my son who is 7 always found something to eat. First visit to LLoret, but I don't think I will be back with my son as it is not really suitable for kids, there is nothing much for them to do if the sun is not shining. Hotel was good value for money and better than I expected.

Great, if the economy rooms are avoided!!
06 March 2008
I will try to focus on the positive issues which there are plenty of, but it was the terrible state of our economy room that has spoilt my opinion of what could be a great tourist hotel.
The room was the worst I have stayed in anywhere in the world! The catch on the balcony door was broken which meant the door constantly kept blowing open all night, even when we pushed the table against it to prevent this, it still kept rattling all night. This meant little undisturbed sleep every night, and when we went out during the day the door could be pushed open from the outside.
There was also a water leak in the bathroom which meant constant puddles on the floor all the time, which also made it dangerously slippery. The blackout curtain was also hanging off, which meant, due to the tissue thin curtains, that when the sun woke up, so did we!
This was such a shame because the rest of the hotel was clean and new with lots of areas and bars to stroll around. The pool complex was fantastic, even having a heated indoor pool. The food was good standard Spanish hotel fair, which mainly catered for the mainland european guests, which was to be expected as they made up most of the guests at this time of year.
Just a footnote, the hotel amenities include parking, but be aware this costs 14 euros a day, and nearby street parking is almost impossible.
All in all, a clean and comfortable hotel in a good location, but avoid the economy rooms at all costs!!

Review of 'Guitart Central Park Resort and Spa'
09 April 2007
There were a number of room options open to us, thankfully we chose the top one, the Gold option. These are meant to be 4 star, I think they should be 3 star. Putting a lot of free toiletries in a small wicker basket in the bathroom, doesn't make it 4 star in my opinion. We had the half board option. The food was varied, but uninspiring, free wine with your meal though is a nice point. Breakfast is awful. You really need to treat it as continental breakfast as the cooked part is plain , greasy and cool to cold. No fruit salad either. From what I have read in reviews, it is pretty typical of Costa Brava hotel accommodation. Still, I suppose it was cheap. PS. Limited parking is available at the Hotel, costing 14 Euros per night. I parked on a steep'ish hill behind, it for free.(Down past the hotel reception, bear right, then turn first right)

having been to lloret many times it was great pleasure with alpharooms assistance that we stayed at such a marvellous hotel the staff where excellent and the sevices superb, i move back to the u.k. in april but will be using alpharooms to book in the future, already added to my favourites list, i will be advising friends to use this site due to its honesty and overall coverage of the hotels, just to say once again i did not realise how close this hotel was to all amenities within walking distance of the beach and so many bars and resteraunts on site

I have read some of other peoples feedback and some of them really disliked the place.I on the other hand loved it although I was only on a brief visit. The place was immaculate no signs of a piece of rubbish. The staff were very friendly and polite. It's the first time I've seen three sets of swimming pools on three levels. As for the food this isn't the "cater for the brits" type of hotel,at least not while I was there it's your more spanish type catering salads, soups and light meals.A small selection but very wholesome. Two bottles of san miguel cost me 2.60 euros which I thought was good value. All in all excellent place.I did visit out of season so prices and food may differ at peak times.

We feel that some reviews have been unkind to this hotel. The food was very good. The drinks were good too (had much worse)! The policy of one drink per person is beyond ridiculous. Common sense should apply ....if it is obvious you are drinking in a group of three or four, then social manners are that individuals take turns to fetch the drinks. This was not allowed and made relationships with some bar staff difficult.

WELL WORTH IT
22 October 2006
ON ARRIVAL WE WERE GREETED BY FRIENDLY STAFF WHO BOOKED US IN AND GAVE US THE KEYS FOR OUR ECONOMY ROOM. ON CHECKING THE ROOM IT WAS QUITE BASIC WITH 2 3/4 SINGLE BEDS AND A SMALL BATH/SHOWER, BUT THE DECOR WAS QUITE BASIC, THE ROOM WAS LIVABLE FOR A WEEK BUT WE DECIDED TO SEE HOW MUCH IT WAS TO UPGRADE TO A SUPERIOR SILVER ROOM. THE UPGRADE WAS £69.00 AND WAS WELL WORTH IT, THEY HAD JUST BEEN REFURBISHED AND HAD A LOVELY NEW BATHROOM AND FITTED WARDROBES AND A DOUBLE BED. THE MAID CAME IN EVERY DAY AND CLEANED THE ROOM. THERE WAS SOME NOISE IN THE EARLY MORNING AND AT NIGHT BUT THIS WAS A LOT TO DO WITH THE ANNUAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT WITH 15 YEAR OLDS FROM ALL OVER EUROPE. THE BREAKFAST WAS A BIT POOR WITH EVERYBODY PILING IN, AND THE STAFF NOT BEING ABLE TO CLEAR UP FAST ENOUGH, AND A LOT OF THE STUFF WAS ONLY WARM TO COLD. WE ONLY DID ONE BREAKFAST ONCE DUE TO THIS, AND THE FOOD OUTSIDE WAS CHEAP AND BETTER. AS FOR THE EVENING MEAL THIS WAS A LOT BETTER, THERE WAS A REASONABLE SELECTION OF SALAD STUFF, HOT SOUP AND BREAD, AND USUALLY A DIFFERENT MEAT AND FISH DISH EVERYDAY, WITH FRESH FRUIT AND CAKE AS WELL AS ICE CREAM. OVERALL THE HOTEL IS SITUATED IN A GOOD POSITION AND CLOSE TO SOME LOVELY LOCAL BODEGAS THAT ARE VERY CHEAP AND FRIENDLY, SO WE ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THE HOTEL AND WOULD USE IT AGAIN, BUT MAYBE ON A ROOM ONLY BASIS.

exellent service and free expression is what is given in this hotlel!
22 September 2005
The GUITART CENTRAL PARK RESORT AND SPA, is one of the best hotles i went to on my trip t this hotle in october of last year (2004). I was outstanded by he view that it gave, there were evn views in the bar!! The fountians and gardens is immense and the hotel is only a 2-3 minute walk to the local shops and bars. The nightlife isnt up to much hwoever the local peoples are freindly and will stop to chat often. The food inside the hotel is good and includes a wide selection of choice catetering for vegetarians. However it is nice to try some local foods and this can be done in the local community. Above all, the staff and caterers where very helpfull, pleasent and mature to all guests even those who had little children and whom had many people in their party. The hotel is one of the best ive been to and i would recomende it to everyone!

Review of 'GUITART CENTRAL PARK RESORT & SPA'

Just returned within the last 24 hours. The hotel was as we expected from the discription. It was very clean and the room we had, Junior Suite, was again as we had read it would be. The staff all seemed happy, although there were a few exceptions to this rule . My wife had her bag stolen fron the back of her chair in the outside bar. She lost her watch, phone & some money. The staff did'nt want to know and just said go to the police. We did not do the all inclusive option, but this we felt was an good thing as a few people we spoke to said that the food was a bit boring after a few days. We had one meal in the hotel which was good value for money, with as much wine and water as you wanted for 35 euros for 4 people. Outside the hotel the roads are very dirty. The hotel is next to the main shops and bars but the noise did not seem to drift into the hotel. Llorett its self was not the best place that I have visited, but if you like bars and shops then you would be in heaven. We found that if you speak any Spanish you will get a better service in the hotel and the local shops. Two things that you should do.
1. Visit the Disaster Cafe. Its a bit dear ( 140 euros for 4 ) but worth the experiance. Dont go if you have kids under 6 and never fill you glass to the top.
2. Visit Blanes. ( 15 euros in taxi ) great during the day and at night. All in all not the the best resort but the hotel was very good.

Review of 'GUITART CENTRAL PARK RESORT & SPA'
04 July 2005
The outside grounds were fantastic, choice of pools on different levels even one in a greenhouse!! On entry to the hotel exeptionally clean marble foyer, mirrored lifts and clean corridors. Then it stops!!!!!!! The rooms we passed looked fantastic, I can only say looked because our 'cell' was at best poor. The nice wood clad corridor with brass room numbers and keycard entry system halted. The rough artex finished walls (great for scraping your newly sunburnt skin to the bone) appeared. The room numbers daubed on the walls and the big chunky mortice locks on the doors all under security camera greeted us. Once inside the 'cell' was small enough for I guess, someone smaller! The balcony underlooking the rockface just next to the skip and dumped transit van. All with outside access to any room. Just lock the door and hope that no-one with long thin objects, such as fingers puts them through the generous gaps between the doors. In the bathroom don't use the cabinet on the wall for your cleaning utensils, as it is also the dry riser, with access from the room next door. And that's all before breakfast.................

Review of 'GUITART CENTRAL PARK RESORT & SPA'
01 June 2005
I stayed six nights in LLORET, 4 in Ridomar and 2 in Guithart Central Park.
Guithart Central Park:
Small room, nothing improved since 1970s, rock-bottom. Breakfast: no big selection. Avoid half board in standard category since the dinner time is 7pm-7:15pm - that's just 15 minutes to catch the dinner !!
No fridge/minibar and hairdrier like it is listed here on the alpharooms site !!. They told me the room features listed are the one for the 'gold' room. The use of a lot of hotel features is an extra - 7 Euros for the Gymnasium for example.
Ridomar was by far a better deal.

this hotel is everything it says it is. we stayed here in november on an all inclusive basis, which was well worth it.there are two main bars, the one at the top of the hotel, opens out onto the terrace overlooking the pool, gardens and water fountains. It has entertainment every night, also the all inclusive drinks includes brand names like smirnoff vodka, ballantines whiskey, J & B whiskey, bacardi, bailleys to name a few, which is excellent value for money on an all inclusive. The rooms are very pleasant with great views from the balcony, maid service everyday. the indoor pool is a good size and nice and warm, there are sunlounger round the indoor pool and also changing cubicles. the hotel is just a two minute walk to the centre of lloret, with all the shops and bars. the food in the restaurant was excellent with a good selection to chose from. if you fancy a snack later on, you can get one from the bar, you can also get crisps from the bar which is included in your all inclusive. the gardens and fountains are beautiful. the staff were very helpful and pleasant. all in all we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and rate it amongst one of the best in the area and highly reccomend it.
