The newer resort of Playa de Muro is in the middle of Alcudia Bay on Mallorca's northern coast. This more remote resort houses a selection of high quality accommodation, much of which is situated along the beachfront and offers direct access to the beach. The area's highlights include the glorious 12 kilometres of clean white sandy beach - which offers an exciting range of water sports - and Labyrinth, a giant wooden maze that'll keep children entertained for a few hours. Evening entertainment in the resort is provided mainly by the hotels, but nearby Alcudia has a busier selection of bars and restaurants. The charming resort is perfect for a relaxing holiday, Playa de Muro is designed for families with younger children and couples of any age who want a quiet base with convenient amenities. For a day out, make a visit the stunning S'Albufera Nature Reserve, consisting of wetlands, marshes and sand dunes. This beautiful 2,000 acre area is abundant with birds and wildlife. Children can spend an entertaining afternoon at the Labyrinth maze, whilst adults will enjoy browsing the small local market which takes place every Saturday.
