Mijas The resort of Mijas is located in the Spanish province of Malaga on the famous Costa del Sol. The charming resort is divided into two sections the Mijas Costa which is the busy beachfront and Mijas village. The village of Mijas is one of the prettiest villages in Spain, situated on the mountainside the village features the traditional white-washed houses and stunning mountain scenery with views over the Mediterranean Sea below. The village has a cosmopolitan feel with numerous international and local restaurants as well as plenty of bars and nightclubs, ideal for those wishing to dance the night away until the early hours. Visitors will find plenty to do and see in Mijas and the surrounding area, visit the ancient spring at the entrance to the village, take a famous donkey taxi up the hillside, head to the beach at Mijas Costa which lays a 15 minute drive away or simply wander down the narrow quaint cobbled streets whilst browsing the shops. For those sport enthusiasts the entire area around Mijas is golfer’s paradise with numerous championship golf courses within easy reach including the La Cala North and South golf course. Mijas is the ideal choice for those seeking a traditional Spanish break.
