The small resort of Cala Vinas is in a quiet residential area on the south west coast of Mallorca, only 25km from the airport. A peaceful area that is great for relaxing on the white sandy beach, it offers a number of secluded coves to explore, as well as magnificent sea views. Because of its size local amenities are basic, but the few local bars, shops, and restaurants nearby can be supplemented by the busier Magaluf which is only a 5 minute drive away. Most entertainment and facilities are provided by the hotels in this area, which makes for a great holiday for families with young children, and for those who prefer to lounge by the beach. Visit Magaluf which offers a host of fun activities such as Aqualand Water Park and the Western Park theme park. One highlight is a trip in the Nemo Submarine where you can view the underwater sealife and sunken wrecks.
