Dublin overview
top
Ireland’s jewel in the crown, Dublin is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, steeped in history and culture. Boasting a strong literary background, with figures such as James Joyce, W B Yeats and George Bernard Shaw carrying Dublin connections, the city exudes an inspirational atmosphere. Cosy and compact, Dublin’s attractions can be easily explored on foot, or alternatively by the efficient DART train service or the many guide buses that regularly tour the city. Of course no one can visit the capital without taking in the Guinness brewery museum, which has 11 exhausting floors of demonstrations and exhibits. Don’t worry though, after all that hard work, you will be rewarded with a free pint of the finest Guinness whilst taking in a panoramic view of the city from the atrium bar! Other must see attractions include Trinity College, Irelands oldest university, The Writer’s museum, Christchurch Cathedral and of course Dublin Castle.
