Top class
Customer rating:

Beautiful spot. This is our second time back and won't be our last. Has all the advantages of some of the bigger spots such as Vilamoura and Albufeira but is much more friendly and certainly not as expensive

Quaint town that is yet to feel too touristy
Customer rating:
24 April 2013
I was initially quite worried about heading to Lagos on my own, but on getting there I found the people to be pleasant. There is a few hostels in the old town with had numerous english speaking europeans and americans. All the bar staff were easy to talk to and made for a relaxing night out. Plenty of bars/restaurants about serving food/beer at resonable price (€3 pint beer €2.50 bottle lager, €7 large salad, €9 filling meal) The streets around Lagos are very narrow and people laid back. It reminded me of some of the Cornish towns I travel to. I went to Lagos for the surfing and although the wind picked up throughout my stay, I wasn't disappointed, purchasing a 3 day surf lessons/safari. Adverts for boat trips / dolphin spotting / mountain biking and others were seen around the place making sure you'd unlikely get bored on a week or longer holiday.
The best thing about my stay was…
Relaxed atmosphere, Short transfer to good surf beaches

Relaxing lively little town
Customer rating:
01 October 2012
Food was great, people friendly. Mix of all different kinds of nationalities. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from both outdoors and in. Spending time down at the marina was enjoyable and everything is quite close together.
The best thing about my stay was…
The food, and relaxed atmosphere.

Beautiful clean beach, bustling little town, nice marina!
Customer rating:
17 July 2012
The Meia Praia beach in Lagos is outstanding. Beautifully clean and unspoilt. The town itself has an abundance of restaurants to suit all tastes, and won't break the bank! The Marina area is lovely and J Cais coffee shop at the Marina is the best for coffee lovers! The local people are very friendly and very helpful.
The best thing about my stay was…
The beach!

Perfect summer getaway!
Customer rating:
07 July 2012
The perfect place for a week or a couple of days. Lagos is somewhat of a small town yet there is plenty to do and see leaving tourists very entertained for however long they choose to stay. There are several beaches along the shoreline that offer a variety character. Meia Praia is one of the largest beaches with white sand and open spaces. There are plenty of sectioned corners where one can rent a lounge chairs and an umbrella for the day (two lounge chairs plus umbrella ten euros). There are also a number of beach bars such as Linda's Beach Bar that offer cocktails (5.00 euros each) in a take away plastic cup for the beach. The smaller more personal beaches that are closer to the old town such as "Praia da Batata" and 'Praia do Camilo' are beautifully surrounded by rocky cliffs and alcoves. However we went in early July and the water was way way way too cold to swim in. The old town is hilly and cobblestoned. There are plenty of shops and restaurants that suite just about everyone's budget or need. The beaches and town were not too busy nor was it too quite (early July).
The best thing about my stay was…
The Character and scenery.
