Lovely restaurants and simple places to eat. Large shopping centre not too far.

Quite busy even in June. very "British." Lots of restaurants. The area by the river was nice.

A great place to unwind and relax. There is a lovely beach, usually plenty of sunshine and a host if places to eat and drink. We have been coming for about 15 years and will be back again next year.

Stunning town. Beautiful walks, stunning beach and lovely restaurants.

We loved Alvor we were 10-15 minutes walk from the beach and town centre......there were more than enough restaurants of every sort to keep us happy for 2 weeks....along with numerous bars. The beach was the best we have ever seen..and we have seen a lot.. miles long,and more than enough space for everyone to get lost if you want to..or hire a bed with brolly. A wonderfull nature reserve area near the beach was superb....boarded walkways that took you around waterways and sand and grass areas......great for a constitutional when you have eaten too much!!!!! Our favorite restaurant by far was the Al Capone Restaurant and Pizzeria which was situated next to Alvor camping.....and 5 minutes walk from the pingo doce supermarket ......we went 5 nights and had beautifull food every night...superb service and very friendly owners and staff....it will be our first place to visit next year.

alvor is a lovley place with plenty of bars and good value restaurants.The beaches are amazing .

Alvor is a great place to visit as long as you are not excepting to partying all night , a great place for couples and families , There are some lovely places to eat and the people are very welcoming . Great beaches
