Lindos A small town in the south-east of Rhodes, Lindos is noted for its Acropolis, charming streets and traditionally styled houses in the original part of the town. Although fairly small for a resort the beach is clean and pleasant, as are the central streets of the village, being pedestrian-only areas. A number of celebrities own property at Lindos, and it's not unusual to spot a familiar and famous face now and again amongst the tourists. Lindos is a small resort which, although it now has a fairly thriving night-life, has not expanded particularly to cater for older children or teenagers. Nature loving children or those young enough not to need cinemas and other distractions might enjoy Lindos as much as any culturally-minded adult, though. The Acropolis is the main focal point of Lindos, and is both fortified and situated on a small summit. Donkey-rides to make the journey easier for those who might find the walk difficult can be arranged. The resort of Lindos is the ideal choice for families and couples alike and those seeking a relaxed beach break on the island of Rhodes.
