Review of Grupotel Playa De Palma Spa & Resort
I booked a very last minute trip to Mallorca and after spending time looking over various hotels chose this one because of the excellent spa faciliities on offer.
Due to my early arrival, my room wasn't ready but the staff were extremely helpful offering the spa facilities for changing, a free drink and a safe place to store my luggage. The hotel itself is was lovely with a spacious lobby with a grand piano and plenty of comfortable seating.
The room was very clean and comfortable although I can agree with other reviews that the soundproofing between the rooms could be improved, but this did not cause me a problem.
The spa facilities and gym were excellent for a resort hotel. I spent alot of time here and felt completely rested after my three day break. The food was also of good quality for buffet style and I have to say the drinks from the lobby bar extremely ample. I enjoy a tipple but my first "bath" of bombay gin and tonic took over an hour to drink! Excellent value for money.
The hotel is a five minute walk to the beach and the local bus service with the centre of Palma a short distance away. All in all a great hotel.
