Excellent
17 April 2008
We had a 2 night weekend stay at the Gresham last weekend and it met all our expectations.
Staff friendly throughout with nothing too much trouble.
Room comfortable, clean and serviced daily.
Irish breakfast ticked all the boxes and you would have to be a very picky eater not to find something to eat from the choice available.
Location excellent - would not hesitate to stay at the Gresham again !

Make the Gresham hotel your Dublin destination
12 March 2008
Stayed in the Gresham hotel for an evening en route to Glasgow. The bus service from the airport drops you at the hotel doorstep. The hotel was very busy as the rugby was taking place that weekend. Service was very efficient and friendly. The room itself was very spacious and had all the required ammenities. After a night in Temple Bar I had a fantastic cooked Irish Breakfast in the Gallery Restaurant before departing for the Airport. For the standard of hotel the room rate I booked on this site was very reasonable indeed and I would have no hesitation in booking the Gresham for my next Dublin visit. Price, facilities, service and craic- it's all here under one roof.

Gresham Hotel
26 November 2007
Gresham Hotel has an old world charm that you just don't get at any other Dublin Hotel. Staff were very helpful, Toddys Bar is great for a drink while watching the world go by outside. We eat at the Gllery Restaurant and the food was very nice and the service was excellent. The room itself was not fantastic, slightly small and dreadful bathroom with no hot water in the shower. Overall an enjoyable stay but the rooms could do with some modernisation

Fantastic
12 November 2007
Just returned from the wonderful Gresham Hotel. I was with a group of 5 friends and what a great time we had. Hotel exceptionally clean, beds made and towels changed each day. Nothing was too much trouble for us - even the concierge tried to phone and book us a taxi and couldn't but he went outside in the rain and crossed the street to find us one and it was a 6 seater!!
Breakfast fantastic and catered for all - full english, irish, porridge, all cereals, fresh fruit, kippers, haddock liver and all this included in price of stay! We ate in the restaurant for one night too to spoil ourselves and we most certainly were. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent.
Will definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

Not 4*

We were checked into a room at back of hotel not a nice outlook, aircondition or heating not working after spending an uncomfortable night due to the temprature of the room we asked to be moved did not seem like an uncommon request in this hotel, moved into room which we control over the temprature

Another great Dublin weekend
02 September 2007
Just returned from Dublin, staying at the excellent Gresham. Location, service and good solid comfort bring us back to this hotel every time. Toms and food are fine but the friendly and very helpful staff are what sets this place apart. Will definitely stay there again.

Excellant location, for open bus top rides around Dublin also bus/taxi connections, all outside the hotel within yards also plenty of shopping available Temple Bar 10-15 minute walk. Hotel accommodation very good, excellant Irish breakfast. The afternoon tea is also to be tried, very decadent. Lovely surroundings and exceptionally friendly staff. Good choice

stayed 3 nights bed and breakfast over St Patrick's weekend. The hotel was lovely, rooms top class and breakfast excellent. Staff were very polite and helpful about events going on in the city. The hotel had a great buzz but still provided a haven from the frenetic pace of the weekend. Would definately go back.

The Gresham is a lovely hotel, the location is ideal, only a 10 minute walk to temple bar & Grafton street the main shopping area. Rooms were very spacious and clean, had all the amenities that you could need. Staff were all very friendly & happy to help. We didn't eat in the restuarants in the evening but breakfast was very good, try not to do down between 9.30 - 10am gets very busy! I would stay at this hotel again.

Unfortunately our stay was not great at The Gresham.
When we arrived we were told to come back in 10 mins as our room was not ready, we then had to wait a further hour!
The room we were given can only be described as shabby and not to of a 4* standard. The carpet had rips in it, the bathroom was cold and had mildew round the shower head, The bed stand was showing which was dirty. There were dirty finger prints on the walls. It was just not a very nice room.
We then got moved a few rooms down to a nicer room, I was still not say of a 4* standard though. The towels where small, the bathroom again was really cold. The shower was more of a dribble and was cold in the morning. The room generally was cold.
We ordered room service for breakfast which tuned up late, with no toast and was cold.
When leaving I went to settle the bill for our room which should have just been the room service charge but they tried to charge us for the full breakfast which I had already paid for when booking my room, this then took reception a further 10 mins to sort out.
Dublin itself is a lovely city and would I will be going back for a another visit but I will definitely not be staying in The Gresham.
I am not usually as fussy when staying away bit I feel the Gresham charges too much for what you are getting.
I had arranged my trip as a gift for my partner for his Xmas gift and chose The Gresham as the icing on the cake to make our perfect weekend, I feel that The Gresham made our weekend less that perfect :(
I would not advise the Gresham for the price they are charging, I have stayed in much nicer 3* for a fraction of the price.

Everything was wonderful. This was our first visit to Dublin and we were very impressed with the hotel. Friendly, professional exceptional service and the New Year's Eve party was really great. The room was really nice, lots of channels on the TV to help take time out from siteseeing. Free use of Safety Deposit box. Clean linen and toiletries renewed every day. Very central to all the nightlife and shops and handy for buses to tour the City. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

i had booked a smoking room only to be told that this was not the case,i was told there was no smoking rooms left, once i suggested paying extra a room seemed to become available quite quickly at a cost of an extra 60 euro which was quite disappointing - apart froom this, hotel, staff and room was first class.

Hotel is in an excellent location and handy for all the main attractions in Dublin. Plenty of restaurants and bars within short walking distance and the tour bus |
