Walking through the town with its medieval street networks lined by excelently preserved renaissance and gothic buildings, you could not miss HOTEL GRAND, located directly in the central square named "Naměsti Svornosti". This building was there many centuries ago as a silent witness of the town foundation in 13th century by the King Přemysl Otakar the II. In the 15th century after the Hussite wars the building was used as an oldest provable Town Hall. Later the building was owned by different merchants and during that time building was rebuilt several times. Nevertheless many very precious elements have been preserved, which contribute to the exclusive and romantic atmosphere. The old town square where the hotel is located is the real cultural centre of the town with many restaurants, shops and beautiful old buildings. In a short distance is located the Krumlov castle and the meander of river Vltava, which make a natural fortification of the old town.
