Gran Melia Palacio De Isora

We stayed in the Gran Melia Palacio De Isora in October 2008 having booked the hotel with Alpharooms. The hotel is beautiful - the public areas are truly magnificiant. Our bedroom was spacious and well equipped with a nice balcony and views of the lovely gardens. The bathroom was fab - huge bath, double sinks, spacious shower and best of all Clarins goodies! There were plenty of pools each nicer than the last with loads of comfortable sunbeds and nice extras like cold towels in the afternoon. Breakfasts were good with all the usual fare beautifully presented. Lunch and dinner were less successful - we enjoyed dinner but felt it wasn't up to the standard we had expected. Lunch for us was a packet of biscuits as the hotel does not serve light lunches at all. There is a grill but it is geared towards those who like a heavy lunch - the lack of somewhere serving snacks (a toasted sandwich would do!) was a disappointment to us. All in all we had a lovely relaxing week at this hotel and I'd love to go back.
