WELL SITUATED AND QUIET HOTEL. A BIT DATED BUT CHARMING WITH IT. SPACIOUS ROOM AND CLEAN BATHROOM. ADDED BONUS O USE OF NEXT DOOR HOTELL AMENITIES TOO. I WOULD USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN. BREAKFAST ADEQUATE AND GOOD DINING ROOM FOR THE PRICE. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL.

Well situated, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast buffet and our room and bathroom were spotless. This hotel is near to the station, close the sea front and a short walk to town and the old town. Highly recommended!

Good location in the centre of town and close to the station. Our room was clean and spacious. Good buffet breakfast. The hotel could do with some updating but good value and friendly.

Good value small hotel - room was comfortable with TV and Mini Bar - bed was a little on the small side - ensuite bathroom was very clean - staff were friendly and helpful - continental breakfast was enjoyable and good quality - location is quiet but reasonably central and a comfortable walk from most of the key attractions - we would definately use this hotel again.

The Gounod is located a couple of blocks in from the beach and it is easy to walk to most areas of Nice. Using the pool at The Splendid was easy...just walk through the doors and take the lift to the top floor and enjoy the view from the sunbeds or the jacuzzi! Don't expect to swim more than a few stroke though the pool is small. Rooms are traditional, but clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is small, but if if it's coffee and croissants you are looking for it is good.
Good value for money with a lovely exterior and a very handy carpark.

Really enjoyed this hotel.Friendly staff, rooms very clean, no extra charge for use of safe and central location for shops, sea front and train station. Would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We only had one night in Nice so wanted to make sure we were somewhere central with easy parking and good access to the airport. The Hotel Gounod fitted the bill perfectly. Reasonably priced (I gather!) for Nice, we had two rooms with windows opening onto the street. Staff helpful and courteous and a substantial breakfast included. Recommended!
