Very pleasant
09 June 2008
Rooms were quite small but well decorated and clean. Had to wait a bit too long for lunch but was lovely when it finally arrived. Good selection of food for breakfast. Pleasant staff.

Excellent value 3* Hotel
23 April 2008
Having stayed at the Pond Hotel many years ago we decided to go back and see what had happened over the years and now under new management.
On arrival at 17.30hrs. on the Saturday we were greeted by Monika the receptionist who made us feel very welcome and the decor was certainly in the 21 century.
Each member of staff always greeted you with a cheery hello. The rooms were stunning with state of the art TV's offering more that your normal channels. Beds were very clean & comfortable, bathrooms were bright and the shower curtain was very clean.
Breakfast was Buffet style and plenty to choose from the hot plate to the chilled cabinet. Even the management helped in the restaurant to clear tables.
Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any one. Full marks to The Pond keep up the high standards.
This hotel is only 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport so very handy and good rates.

A quiet weekend in Glasgow
08 November 2007
We arrived on the Friday at 4.30 pm and was greeted with a very friendly and helpful French receptionist. We went up to our room that was clean and fresh we went down to the restuarant for our tea the food was excellent and very keenly priced for a 3 star hotel. Our deal was for bed and breakfast this was a buffet but again the quality of the food was excellent and you could eat as much as you liked. My wife and I were very pleased with our stay the only down side was the thumping of music when we went to our beds. But in all fairness it in no way affected our stay. And after there was a rugby team staying at the same weekend as us. Boys will be boys

Value and Style
06 August 2007
After a one night stay at the pond hotel I have only good things to say about this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful while the hotel is well equiped and stylishly decorated. I will be staying again as there are very few hotels with this amount of facilities at a reasonable price.

June 2007
25 June 2007
Stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday in June 2007 and overall good value with clean rooms and recently decorated. Breakfast was excellent with good choice of both hot and cold food but slow to tidy away. Benefits are free parking and generally quiet. Downside is that it is quite a way from West End and considerable distance from city. Disappointed that bar shuts at 11 - a little early for a hotel. Overall recommended as good value for money on rate we paid and free parking a bonus as compared to city hotels.

Glasgow Ponds Hotel
28 May 2007
We stayed for two nights at the Glasgow Pond Hotel in May 2007.
The hotel is conveniently situated just off the Great Western Road. It has a large free, secure car park. If you don't intend to drive in the city it is quite far from the centre, we found the most effective way of getting into the city was to take the bus down to Kelvingrove and the subway from there. With good connections this could be done in about 20 minutes, It was about £8 in a taxi late at night.
The hotel was smart and well decorated and although our room was a little small (the bed was against the wall which I didn't expect or much like in a hotel), the bed was very comfortable and the room was warm without being too hot. The bathroom was a good size. The room was spotlessly clean and, despite its proximity to the Gartnavel Hospital, we didn't hear any outside noise in there. There was a good flat screen TV with radio stations available through it. Our room had a locked connecting door so I think it would be quite handy for familirs.
Breakfast was beautiful, lots of good food available in large quantities! We didn't eat until the evening after it.
In short, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Glasgow, just don't expect to be too close to the centre.

Review of 'PONDS GLASGOW'
11 April 2007
We had a lovely stay at the Ponds Glasgow. The room was spotless and the hotel looked as if its just had a complete make over, which is very up beat and very modern although you would not get that impression from the outside. The room was very modern indeed and very comfortable beds ext... The hotels staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was very substantial indeed. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and it was at a very reasonable rate, considering it was Easter Time. It is near the City Centre also, we had the car and the car-parking was great also. Thank you Alpha Room - from 2 Very satisified customers.

Review of 'PONDS GLASGOW'
08 April 2007
We enjoyed our stay very much, staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, cool flat screen tv, shower was powerful and bathroom was very modern and bright. The view of the pond was nice to see from the large window. The location of the hotel is ideal for going out to Byres Road in Glasgows west end. Overall I rate this hotel extremely high, I look forward to my next stay and can't wait to return. I nearly forgot to mention the delicious breakfast and a bargain at the price we payed for the night.

We have stayed at this hotel lots of times before it was refurbished and, although the rooms have been decorated and new TVs etc, the rooms seem to have been made smaller - the bathroom was tiny. The hotel menu was not very good but the staff were helpful and pleasant.

23 August 2006
I found our stay relaxing and enjoyable with helpful and friendly staff who helped with the smallest of issues and dealt with them fast and efficiently. The use of the Hotel facilities like the swimming pool, jacuzi and gym meant you were able to relax while not having to go far and it was only a stones throw away from the city centre for that all important shopping and sight seeing. The secure car park was a blessing as i have a new car and would have been scared to leave it anywhere else.We both would recommend this to our friends who would be going over to Glasgow as the rooms were spacious, clean and tidy and fitted our exact requirements. We can only thank all staff involved with our weekend break and hope to see them again soon.

20 July 2006
This hotel was recently acquired by Ponds from Jury's who had let it slide a little. It's due to close in September for refurbishment and you can tell! The staff as ever are excellent and friendly, it's in a pleasant suburb of Glasgow and very handy for my business needs. Look forwrd to seeing it in December after the refit. One definite criticism - the card in the room stated radio was available through the tv channels but on enquiring how to get them I was told they were NOT yet available.

Review of 'JURYS GLASGOW'
17 April 2006
Location of the hotel is convinient. Service was very good and all members of staff were helpful and polite. Hotel has a nice restaurant with tasty food and good although quite small leisure center. Bedroom was very comfortable, but bathroom might need some renovation and windows were quite dirty, which was not very nice. There is a big car park and petrol station with a shop just one minut walk away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for nice, but not too expensive place to stay not in the middle of the busy city center.

Review of 'JURYS GLASGOW'
24 March 2005
My stay at this hotel was highly satisfactory, from the tasteful decor, right down to the cleanliness of the communal areas such as the hallways and lifts. I found the service to be top notch, especially a young man called john, who helped me out with a couple of awkward issues I had. in short, I would reccommend this hotel to anyone staying in Glasgow for a short break, and the next time i'm in Glasgow myself I will definately be staying at the Jury's.
