Relaxing break at Fuerte Miramar
17 May 2013
We took an extended weekend break at stayed at this hotel. The quality of the rooms were very good. We opted to upgrade at a reasonable rate to a sea view and again extremely pleased with the quality of the room. The hotel is very well maintained and centrally located to Marbella promenade with metres to the shops, bars and bistros. It is very clean and the food is excellent, in particular the breakfast with lots of variety.
The pool and surrounding areas were well maintained and made our stay more enjoyable.
We would go back to this hotel again.
The best thing about my stay was…
A relaxing environment and close to all amenities

Excellent stay at this Fuerte Hotel on the Coast
24 October 2012
Stayed here for one night half board during our tour of Andalucia, not dissappointed, the sea front hotel was very good as was supprisingly Marbella. Stayed in other Fuerte hotels during our tour, all of them offering good restaurants with good food and excellent hygene. Room was lovely, well equiped with a good sea view and a sunrise to die for. We had to take our evening meal at the Fuerte Marbella, very good food and excellent friendly service. Would stay again at the the drop of a hat.
The best thing about my stay was…
Promenade walk and the old town

ENJOYED BUT NO PLANS TO RETURN
15 October 2012
Basic room very basic, had to upgrade to side sea view for €10.00 extra per day, no sun on the balcony after 1pm.
Rooms very clean and staff very helpful.
Sunbeds at the pool partially shaded by nice tropical trees, but not so nice if you are looking to sunbathe.
The breakfast was perfect, all one could expect from breakfast and more.
The poolside snacks good and the drinks service good also.
The Sunbeds on the beach belonging to the hotel were at the end of the beach where the hotel was situated, but the pigeons had it in mind to sunbathe there also, not very pleasant.
Their Cafe on the beach did not open for business until 1pm so no morning coffee, and they closed at aroung 5pm.
The best thing about my stay was…
The Hotel staff

Stayed for a long weekend to attend a wedding. Wanted to be close to the action but enough removed - the Fuerte Maramar absolutely fit the bill.
15 May 2012
Our twin room was very confortable and had a lovely view of the beach from the balcony. The bathroom was a good size. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, etc. We went on a bed and breakfast basis and found the breakfast to be really delicious with lots of good food choices, including a chef who made your omelette in front of you. The only downside was the hotel charges €12 per day for parking and we only used the hired car to get to and from the airport. Otherwise, we couldn't fault it.
The best thing about my stay was…
The best part for us was having the bar/restaurant opening onto the pool area which was extremely well manned by the hotel staff. In the main, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Fresh beach towels were provided on demand daily or even more often if required (on presentation of a card supplied at reception). Another key attraction was having direct access to the beach via a gate at the back of the pool area which had the luxury of a fab beach restaurant too! The promonade stretch is just between the beach and the hotel, and starts to get lively a safe distance from the hotel - less than a 10 minute walk, so the night life is within easy reach but again not so much that it could be a nuisance. While the hotel was so centrally located to the shopping areas of Marbella we were having such a relaxing time that we didn't bother to shop!

I stayed in 2011 and as a single lady I felt secure. The care and attention from the reception staff was warm and friendly. The Restaurant Manger went out of his way to make my holiday special in every way.
I am returning in 2012 and very much looking forward to it.

really enjoyed the break at the hotel, right on the beach front ideal for walking the long promenade. convenient for old town and shopping. Breakfast exceptional, staff are excellent, friendly and polite.
08 April 2012
Free wifi in the rooms. Excellent breakfast and staff make the place. We stayed end of march so not overly busy, i can see a downside peak season as the pool is small and lounge beds limited, tho u r on the beach. Rooms a little basic in decor for 4* tho cleaned everyday by friendly staff. Room service available. I would recommend takinga sea view room with balcony. Lovely reception area and newly re vamped spa just opened again while we were there.

AMAZING HOTEL AND FANTATSIC LOCATION!!!
22 November 2011
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Fuerte Miramar Spa in May 2011 and had a fantastic time. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The location of the hotel is also spot on with easy access to both Orange Square and Marbella itself. We also hire bikes on most days which enabled us to cycle into Marbella within 20 minutes and have a nice drink and easilly cycle back to the hotel. Breakfast was also a highlight with lots of options. Overall we loved this hotel and would definately visit again ;-)

Stayed in the Fuerte Miramar in May - Had a really lovely time. We got a great deal on alpharooms, and this hotel was well worth the money. The rooms are nice and spacious, and well worth paying the little extra on arrival for a sea view. We had Breakfast included, the selection was really good each morning - Nice fresh fruit and meats. The hotel sits right on the beach, and is in walking distance of all kinds of nightlife and restaurants. This hotel is a great base to enjoy a holiday in Marbella - I would have no hesitation recommending or returning to this hotel.

A beautiful experience. Truly relaxing.
16 November 2011
A truly enjoyable stay. I am a lady taking a 5 day break in the sun. The Hotel staff made me very welcome and were most attentive. Although I dined alone, the restaurant management made me feel I was dining amongst friends. I am going to book for an early break in 2012. I can't wait to return.
The best thing about my stay was…
The staff making me feel special.

24 October 2011
We spent 6 nights here during October. This hotel does not look that pretty from the outside especially when viewed from the beach but the same could be said for most of the front line properties in Marbella and inside it is a typical mid range spanish hotel of this era. However the things that set it apart from so many other hotels is the customer service, the location and value for money. It is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Coming down to breakfast the staff greet you with a smile. The guy giving out the beach towels has a smile and a friendly word. The staff right throughout this hotel make you feel special. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels the staff here would put many to shame.
Cleanliness? In the bedroom corridors staff were dusting the skirting boards picture frames etc. Bathroom was always left spotless. Towels changed daily and sheets on request, daily if needed.
Go for a room with a side sea view. Sun leaves the balcony by mid day but I could imagine during the long summer that would be a blessing. The bedroom was spacious with AC that worked well. also a mini bar with well priced drinks at about e1.5 for a beer etc
Great breakfasts. Fresh fruit and freshly made omlettes and eggs along with the usual range of breads cheeses pasteries etc. Also freshly squeezed orange juice
A few people said it was very busy at breakfast but avoid the rush and come down before 9.00am. (breakfast is served until 11.00am)
The location is fantastic, right on the beach and you can walk the 8km to P.Banus never leaving the sea front. Also for eating out its a few minutes walk from the beautiful old town and orange blossom square or the various restaurants along the beach
So in the current economic climate I challenge you to find a better hotel for the money
The best thing about my stay was…
Friendly staff. Location. Value for money

20 October 2011
My husband and i stayed 4 nights at this hotel in a side sea view room. We had a fabulous time from the moment we arrived. Check-in was simple and we had a complimentary glass of champagne. All the reviews i've read about the wonderful breakfast were true, great food and service. We stayed half board, the evening meals were good but not as wide a variety of food as the breakfast. Excellent room and location. Alpha rooms did a great job, we will definitely be booking with them again.
The best thing about my stay was…
Breakfasts and the gorgeous weather!

Problems with shuttle bus service. Upon our arrival at Malaga airport there was no shuttle bus service waiting for us albeit we had prepaid €80.15. After quiet a bit of hassle and a lot of help from staff at Airport we eventually managed to get a shuttle

On arrival the staff are just so friendly all speaking good english. A glass of cava for refreshment is offered. Blissful. Our rooms are not ready but we have arrived early so we are given a card giving us free refreshment in the bar by the pool. The car is safe in the hotel carpark. When our rooms are ready we are greeted by a perfectly clean room, lovely spacious area. Bathroom absolutley beautiful, my parents owned a hotel so I am miss Finikity. But no faults found here. The hotel and staff are 12/10. definately shall return. Ideal for the front. no steps so perfect for a disabled person. lots of care and attention being given to ensure an excellent stay. Well done to all xxxx
