Frederick House Hotel is situated amidst the Georgian elegance of Edinburgh's 'New Town'. Guests are offered a warm welcome and well appointed accommodation in the true spirit of Edinburgh. Built in 1880, the hotel has undergone rejuvenation over the years to keep it standing in good condition and presented well. Guest bedrooms include en-suite with hair dryer, central heating, double bed, telephone, internet access, satellite TV, mini fridge, iron and board and tea and coffee making facilities. Hotel facilities comprise a 24 hour reception, a safe, WiFi internet access, lift and laundry service. The full Scottish breakfast is served at Rick's Restaurant across the road from the hotel. Great location. Staff were really friendly. Room was OK (Rm 104) a little "tired" but fine for the money paid. Not sure about the toilet roll holder been put on the door frame as it wasn't attached securely. Breakfast at Ricks was a nice change and they had a nice variation of food. We would definitely stay again if we could get the room for a similiar price...and the toilet roll holder was sorted!!!
