The France Hotel is ideally situated overlooking one of the numerous canals of the historical heart of Amsterdam, in a quieter area that is none-the-less near to the vibrant city. The hotel is close to the railway station and Dam Square, as well as numerous pubs and restaurants within walking distance, making it an ideal base from which to explore the city. Recently renovated, this property now offers all the comforts that guests would need for an enjoyable stay, including a cosy lounge and a stylish restaurant. All comfortable guest rooms come equipped with the amenities one could expect from a hotel of its class, including a TV, pay movies, a telephone and hairdryer, while some rooms have romantic views over the canal, although a small number of rooms may not have windows. The France Hotel is in a great location to enjoy the city of Amsterdam.

Although this was only a 1 day stop over, i was suprised at how pleasant this hotel is. Located just top of redlight district and 5 min walk from central station. Very nice staff, adequate rooms which were clean and quite spacious. Will be back
