France Eiffel March 2008

24 March 2008
We are back home from Paris now. The hotel room was small but quite adequate. However the bathroom was extremely small to say the very least compared to what we have stayed in throughout the past. The location was good near to the tower and close to shops. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and polite too with good English spoken. Although there was building work opposite the hotel it wasn't disturbing. There was also an excellent reataurant next door to the hotel with good food and excellent service. Furthermore with all that in mind we would stay there again. Carol Jones mature couple (36+) England

well just back from Paris yes this is a small hotel basic enough rooms are a little small but clean and tidy, buffet breakfast is fine and sets you up for the day, it is quite central to everything just ten minutes to tower, there is also a nice few shops near the hotel if you ask reception without going into main place. Staff are very helpful and have good english. Please note there are demolishing a building straight across from hotel which will be a bit of bother around noise etc......other than that it was fine for the cost.....taxi early in morning going to bus station to take you to beavuis cost us 30 euro which was madness for a ten minute drive....so be aware....

The hotel is in a great location.Staff are very friendly and polite and speak english which is a big plus.Breakfast is great and is well worth taking.Rooms are clean and more than adequate for a couple on a few days away break.Staff reccommended a great restuarant to go in the evening, which was about a 5 minute walk along the same street called bistro champetre.Think I have spelled that right .36 euros each for the meal from a set menu including a bottle of wine.Menus are in english and the food was great. If I was going back to visit the centre of Paris again I would stay in this hotel.Had a great time there and thought it was good value for money.Would also reccommend using the paris shuttle service as well.

France Eiffel

05 July 2007
29th June 2007 We arrived at the "France Eiffel" late in the evening where the staff on arrival greeted us very warmly. Nothing was a bother. He gave us a map of the centre of Paris, explained where the hotel was in conjunction to the Metro, trains etc., also nearest bistros, supermarkets etc,. He went out of his way to make our trip to Paris an enjoyable one offering to book tourist trips if we wanted. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a typical Parisian retreat. The rooms were small but clean. The breakfast was exceptionally good - plenty of it, good choice of the norm cereals, breads, cold meats etc. The inner courtyard was very pretty - cast tables & chairs, plant pots, flowers - made a nice retreat for an evening after spending the day doing the sights! You can also choose to have your breakfast out there - an added bonus. The Hotel is situated between two Metro stations Ber Hakim & Duplex, approx 500 yds. The Eiffel Tower easily reached along the end of the street by foot. Overall the Hotel Eiffel is in a good spot for reaching all of Paris city centre by Train, Metro, Tram, & Foot. On the day of our departure we were invited to leave our luggage f.o.c. in the Hotel while we did some last minute shopping. There is a bus stop outside the hotel (no. 52) which runs every 10mins to Gare du Nord (main Train, Metro, Bus link to Airports & City) very cheaply. We will go back!

Review of 'FRANCE EIFFEL'

Arrived at France Eiffel and was greeted by very polite, helpful staff who spoke very good English. The double room we had booked for the weekend was quite small but we didnt go to Paris to sit in the bedroom all day,it was very clean, nicely decorated and met the needs of a couple who just needed somewhere to sleep after spending the day sight seeing.Breakfast was served between 7.00 and 10.00 which was great if you wanted a bit of a lie in and there was a big choice of food on offer. On the day we checked out we were not sure what time the Paris shuttle bus was coming to collect us and the hotel receptionist approached us and offered to ring the shuttle company to confirm the arrangements. If we were to visit Paris again we would stay at the France Eiffel as we cannot honestly find anything negative to say about the hotel or the staff.

Review of 'FRANCE EIFFEL' 21st-25th August 2006

27 August 2006
We were welcomed to the Hotel France Eiffel by very friendly English speaking receptionists, and we found them most helpful throughout our stay (4 nights).   The hotel had a certain charm
about it with a pleasant and small breakfast room (providing an adequate buffet breakfast)and a small lounging area.
The bedrooms were small, but importantly the beds were very comfortable.  The shower rooms were definitely on the small side, in fact the smallest we have ever encoutered.  However, having said that the cleanliness was very good throughout.
The hotel is very well situated only 5mins from the Eiffel Tower.
For short stays in Paris we would be happy to stay in the same hotel again.  After all we didn't go to Paris to spend time in our bedrooms, the hotel was our base for a very enjoyable holiday.

The France Eiffel is situated in an excellent location 5 mins from the tower and 2mins from Bir Hakiem metro station giving easy access to the whole of Paris. The Staff were very polite and spoke excellent english unfortunately the rooms were very cramped and as we were staying for 3 days we ended up living out of the suitcase. One major problem when we stayed was the fact that the hotel had no working hot water, cold showers were not acceptable in the middle of February overall the the hotel is basic and adequate for its price its location is excellent and if you are staying for a couple of days with a need for a bed and an adequate breakfast then this hotel will suffice hopefully it will have working hot water.

Review of France Eiffel

27 October 2005
Just needed a place to stay for one night and the France Eiffel proved spot on. Close to Bir Hakeim metro (easy to connect to Air France buses to the airport) and only a 5/10 minute walk to the tower itself. Staff were friendly and didn't laugh too much at my attempts to speak French although they spoke more than adequate English. Room was small but clean and comfortable with en-suite. Breakfast was good (worth 10/15 euros in itself) and the staff helpful with advice on local restaurants and bars of which there were plenty. Would recommend if you just want practical but not if you want luxury - then again you'll pay a lot for your luxuries in Paris.

Our stay in the France Eiffel hotel was very pleasant, the hotel was clean and comfortable with a lift.  There was a choice of cereals, cold meats, yoghurts, croissant and rolls for Breakfast.  Staff were very helpful and courteous and the fact that they spoke english made everything so much easier.  The metro was just around the corner and it was only a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. I could certainly recommend the hotel for a short stay

Review of 'FRANCE EIFFEL'

Room was clean and tidy, however slightly on the small side.  Downfalls were not enough cupboard or wardrobe space, therefore had to live out the suitcase a little. Bathroom could have done with a shower screen or curtain as the water just went everywhere!!
Lift is very small, just about got 2 people with 2 small suitcases in there!
Staff were very polite and helpful.
Breakfast was good, it was served until 10.30am which was nice as you're able to have a bit of a lay in if you've been out til late the night before. Unfortunately the dining area is not very big therefore there aren't a lot of tables, you may have to wait a little while until someone else has finished before you can sit down.
It was good for a 3 star hotel, there are 2 metro stations that are about 5 minutes walk away, and the eiffel tower is very close too.

Hotel is a few minutes walk from the Bir Hakeim metro stop which makes it soo easy to travel across the city to Latin Quarter, Nortre Dame etc even late at night.
Hotel made recommendations on Seine cruise which was fantastic and only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.  River Seine, Effiel Tower, shops and brasseries all close to hotel which makes France Eiffel a perfect choice of location.

Review of 'FRANCE EIFFEL'

17 August 2005
The best thing about this hotel is its location. We arrived at about 2pm to find that our room was not ready which wasn't really what we wanted to hear after a very early start to get to the Eurostar on time! We waited about 20 minutes when we were informed our room was ready. Our room was small and slightly disappointing as everything looked like it could do with a bit of TLC - paintwork, tiling etc. However, everything was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable which meant that we slept really well for the 2 nights we were there (or was that just all the walking and fresh air that knocked us out.....?!) Breakfast is served early enough if you are an Earlybird and goes on long enough that you can have a long lie if you want. The food was lovely and set us up well for the day. All in all, it was a great place to be because everything was so close by and made navigating around the city very easy. The staff were pretty friendly too and we really enjoyed our stay. If you'll be using the hotel as a base for doing lots of sightseeing then it provides all you need. If you want a homely, comfortable room to come back to where you can spend some time chilling out, I'd recommend spending a few more of your precious Euros and going for something a bit more upmarket.

An excellent small hotel. Our room was small but immaculately clean, with en-suite. A lift to all floors.
Ideal hotel for a short trip, no frills, good continental brekfast(Ham,eggs, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, croissants)as well as coffee/tea.
Staff are polite and speak English(Bonus).
Five minutes walk to the Metro(which links to the CDG airport)and everywhere else in Paris.Ten minutes walk to the Eifel tower.
Good value for money don't expect 5 stars and you will be happy.

Since finding 'alpha rooms.com' my travelling's become great fun!  I found this hotel on alpharooms.com and decided to try it out.

The room was spacious and had a good view across the bustling Paris street.  The service was excellent and the staff very friendly.  When I asked the quickest way to the Eiffel Tower the matre d told me that if i waited a couple of minutes he was just finishing his shift and would walk me there..........i couldn't resist the offer from a handsome french man, and unfortunately the walk was far too brief - however, my loss is someone elses gain - for if you want a hotel bang in the centre of things with the shortest walk to the famous tower, then this is the one for you!

Fab food too - so good I didn't want to leave.......can't wait to check out my next alpharooms.com adventure!
