The Hotel Florida Norte building was constructed in 1973 and completely renovated in 2000. There are a total of 399 guestrooms spread over 8 floors, of which 39 are singles and 360 doubles. Guests are offered a generous foyer with lifts, hotel safes, a currency exchange desk and a reception which is manned around the clock. Additional facilities include a TV room, it's own shop, a hairdressers, a café, a homely bar, a pub and an air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. Business guests may make use of the conference room and the Internet access. Guests may take advantage of the room and laundry services. The hotel also boasts its own parking facilities.

Great location just across from the train/metro. Madrid is very easily accessible from here, we were back and forth into the centre a couple of times each day - found the Metro very straight forward even when rather drunk! Hotel was great, no complaints at all, staff on reception were very helpful despite the fact we don't speak a word of Spanish between us! We decided not to have the breakfast, not because of the reviews on here though, just thought it was too expensive (we like our food cheap). Would recommend this hotel to any family or friends if they head to Madrid - I would stay here again if I ever return!
