Basic for solo travellers
Whilst the hotel maybe 'value for money', clean with good service and reasonably sited, I was less than happy as a 'solo' traveller. Although I'd requested a seaview room with a balcony, when I arrived I was told none of the single rooms had balconies and the hotel is too far from the sea for anyone to have a seaview. I was horrified to be then allocated my ground floor room to find it extremely pokey with only a small window that looked out onto the footpath above and with bars outside making it just like a prison cell. On the first night, I tried to sleep but a continuous buzzing noise (I suspect came from the coolers of the nearby bar) made it into a torture chambre so bad I had to complain at 2am and had to leave the TV on all night to distract from the noise. No-one should ever be allocated such a room! Next day I was transferred to the 6th floor to another very basic small room (again without a balcony) and a window that looked out onto a flat roof with no view. From that floor, everyone had to wait an eternity to have the lift arrive. So, poor in regards the single traveller
