early 50's girls holiday

28 June 2008
enjoyed our stay here 9th to 16th May 2008. Food good. steak, pork, lamb all cooked on the spot for you. Breakfast omelettes made while you wait. no complaints at all with the food. We were all inclusive which worked out very well due to the low value of the euro. Pool bar being maintained whilst we were there but hotel management made sure we had an alternative on days when there was a bit of noise. Evening entertainment was adequate and the animation team done very well. Enjoyed the water aerobics. Booked with Alpharooms and all went well. Good value for what we payed. Will return to this hotel.

A relaxing holiday for all the family

19 May 2008
Stayed at this hotel for 12 nights. Really enjoyed it. No rushing for sunbeds in the morning. Food good. Entertainment very good. Plenty of activities for children. Would stay here again. Ideally located shopping centres close by and only a walk to the beach.

Pleasantly surprised!

01 May 2008
Even though I only stayed two nights, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. As a woman travelling on her own I found it greatly reassuring to be in a hotel that was so secure, with very respectable staff. The whole place was immacculately clean, and even a basic room on B&B was well beyond my expectations as it had excellent air conditioning! The food was the only downside as it was catered towards the more numerous german and spanish guests - which is understandable! But saying that the food that appealed to me was lovely and very well cooked - and in abundance! Pool and the surrounding area were exceptionally clean, sun on majority of sunbeds for large part of the day. Bar area and outside seating was peaceful, with excellent table service, allowing me to read and relax (the aim of the break for me!). I highly recommend this hotel, even though it probably works out better money wise to go full board/ all inclusive - as there was no need to go anywhere else for food or drinks! The next time I get a few days to myself I'll come back again!

A Great Experience

23 February 2008
This is my 2nd stay at this lovely hotel and I can very positively recommend it. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is gorgeous and in plentiful supply! We had a Junior Suite this time and I can honestly say that everything about it was superb - massive balcony with Loungers and Umbrella + Table and Chairs. Jacuzzi Bath (wow!) and a welcome basket of fruit and Bottled water on arrival. Daily Maid service. Extremely clean and well cared for. Nightly entertainment very good. All in all a great venue at a reasonable price and all the trimmings equivalent to 5 star*. Will definitely be going back there again and again!

good holiday but a few faults

25 January 2008
just returned from our first family holiday with 7 month old daughter. Our stay was pleasent with friendly entertainment team and excelent maid service. However a few things to be said on a down side.... first of all our room used to be adjoined to the room next door meaning there was only a door seperating any noise, therefor not so fantastic for the couple next door who had to endure our baby crying in the wee hours. Also the building is built around the pool so only a tiny part gets the sun and good luck fighting for the sunbeds.( this might be different in high season as the sun is higher). We stayed bed and breakfast and was not impressed really but thats just normal for a foriegn hotel...if like me youre a fussy eater book self catering. The rooms were cleaned everyday even if we had do not disturb on door the maid would come back.I cannot fault the maid service at all. Another little problem were the ants in the room. All in all it was ok, I would say 3 and half star though not 4.

20 January 2008
we have just returned from the fanabe sur and were more than pleased with the hotl.i had booked a double room however we were given a junior suite which had an enormous jacuzzi and balcony room 292.we have previously stayed in the costa dedje gran and i have to say the food was far better at the fanabe as was the atmosphere .the staff are very friendly especially the bar staff the hotel is spotless ,relaxed and you can either relax or join in the dancing and entertainment at night. overall i would certainly recoomend this hotel .this is the forth time we have used alpha rooms and we have always got the room we wanted or in this case even better.i have already booked my summer holiday with alpha rooms in majorca .thankyou alpha rooms yet again

good value for money

21 November 2007
Just returned from a very relaxing 5 days at the Fanabe Costa Sur. We found it extremely good value for money - the hotel was spotless, the food good and the staff could not have been more helpful. The room was light and spacious. We used the rooftop solarium where there were plenty of beds and space. Would certainly recommend this hotel and booking through alpharooms saved us alot of money from the hotel's published tariff.

We like this part of the Island.........

11 November 2007
So we were looking for a hotel in this particular area, so i thought we would give this one a try. We found very few negatives with the Fanabe costa sur, firstly our room was very nice, spacious, clean, ample bathroom, air conditioned. The food was very good, a nice bright airy restaurant serving buffet style meals with plenty of choice, coupled with a nightly grill chef. The pool area was sufficient but there are areas where you don't get the sun all day, which obviously led to the inevitable sun bed scramble, which can be quite a source of amusement at breakfast, watching our Scotish cousins doing a fair impression of a disgruntled German as there spot is taken by our more intrepid English raiders who have waited since dawn to put their Primark towels on the spot. The staff in the hotel were helpful when you needed them, the entertainment was fair, the bar prices were as usual, a little more than the bars in resort (but not much), all in all, i'd would go back to this hotel, it's a good standard (not luxury) 4* hotel.
