Dont use hairdressers!!

04 December 2007
We are just back from Las Vegas last night and stayed at the Excalibur Hotel for 4 nights. We found the hotel great value for money and upgraded our room on arrival for an extra $30 (£15GBP) per night, which was well worth it, as we got a fantastic view of the strip, a flat screen tv, two double beds, and a small fridge, which was great for drinks for the room!! The staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. HOWEVER, the only problem I had with the hotel, was that I had forgotten my hairdryer, and decided to use the hairdressers in the hotel for a wash and blowdry. When paying, however, the hairdresser charged me $100!! be warned!!...

Great Time

23 April 2007
Just returned from Vegas last night. Only the second time in Vegas. The Excalibur Hotel was very nice. Only stayed two nights, but had a great time. Pleanty of eating places. I liked the location to the other hotels. Staff were friendly, casino was great, room was spacious with large flat panel screens. Fitness Center was also great...It looks out onto the pool. Spa looked great too, but I did not book it ahead a time so I could not get in. Very exciting Hotel. Not quite as updated as some of the newer hotels, but for the price still very fun.

For a family with young children Excaliber is a deservedly popular choice of hotel, a great location on 'The Strip' between Luxor and New York, New York and oppposite MGM Grand. The added bonus of air conditioned walkways between the hotels were particularly welcome in the soaring temperatures of July.Don't be put off by the heat as most of the places of interest are easily accessible without going outside for very long.
The rooms in Excaliber were large, clean and very comfortable. The only disappointment was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room however food and drink are readily available 24 hours a day from various outlets within the hotel.
There is plenty for families to do within the hotel and the shopping mall is perfect for picking up holiday souvenirs all in one place leaving precious time for seeing the sights.
Las Vegas is well worth a visit and Excaliber a very good value choice of accomodation for anyone on a budget.

Stayed in the excalibur in September 2004.  What can I say, Vegas is fantastic.  The hotel was very clean and the rooms big ( got a free upgrade ), food was great and room service.  We got married in the chapel and it was a very nice service, the flowers provided were beautiful and as requested in satin. The hair salon is also excellent and value for money.  The hotel is small but I found very friendly.  The tournement of the kings is a good show.  The pool is large and the poolside service great.  the hotels location is great and I advise anyone to get on the shuttel and visit the connecting hotels.  The casino floor is good.  Shoppong arcade is great.  Would definately go back and stay in this hotel.

Went to Las Vegas for new year Dec 04-Jan 05,stayed for 8 nights.Well what can i say,it has to be the best new years eve of our lives so much so we have booked again for this new year(you must book early). The excalibur hotel was very lively and packed to the rafters at this time of year maybe because it was cheaper than most of the other strip hotels at this time of year,we would not of chose this hotel as our first choice but it was the only one that had availibilty and we booked nine months before,(luxor this time).I would say the excalibur is looking a little tired and could do with a mjor refurbishment, the rooms are quite large but a little dismal very dark tired looking furnishings, bathroom large (shower only). The casino is quite large,a lot of the bandits had out of order on them and was not fixed the whole time we was there, the staff are very friendly and helpful waitresses coming round with drinks the whole time (just give them a dollar tip). The food in the excalibur was quite good a variety of restraunts to choose from and good value. The british tourist was the minority at this time of year but i must say we met some lovely people both in and out of the excalibur and we was made to feel very welcome, the Americans certainly know how to party on New Years Eve.See you soon Las Vegas

I stayed there just a few weeks ago...It was okay...The halls were pretty dark but the room was clean, big bathroom (shower only). Not really into the theme but the price was right, it's not like you go to Vegas to stay in your room.  Friendly staff. Didn't eat or play at this casino went elsewhere.
