Chilled out
22 March 2008
Stayed here for the first time in March. Had stayed in other complexes twice in the past. Overall we were very pleased with the villa and the complex. Pool was clean, villa, yes basic they all are, but it was fine for a chill out week and as the saying goes you get what you pay for. It is close to Faro 2 and only 10-15 min walk to the beach and 3 euros back after a tough day sunbathing and swimming.
I will go back to this complex and would recommend it to others. The staff were always polite and never found any of them sultry.

Great Relaxing Holiday
05 August 2007
What a fantastic time we had this year. The appartment was clean and as we were located just away from the pool it was lovely and quite.
The reception staff were excellent and their English was great.
The two bar staff had to be watched with what prices they were charging for drinks. One was friendly and the other wasn't. It could also take a long time for you to be served.
You are close to the Faro 2 Centre that has shops and a supermarket.
We got a taxi into Playa de Ingles every night that only cost about 3 Euros.
The great thing was that we could go out for a party but when we returned back to our room it was so quite and always had a brill night sleep.
We have already booked up for September 2007 for a week and we both can't wait.

Review of 'El Palmeral'
24 October 2006
The setting at the El Palmeral was lovely, the pool was very clean. Our villa was set back away from the hussle and bussle of the pool area which was great. It was very clean and tidy and close to lots of amenities. You had the lovely Faro 2 centre and New World within easy walking distance. The only negative comment was the staff at the pool bar and reception, they could have been friendlier? We would definitly re-visit this complex again.

Review of 'EL PALMERAL'
31 July 2006
This was actually my third time staying at this complex. It is, on the whole, a very nice complex and, yes, the staff are friendly. Uusally it was December time when I stayed there, this was my first time staying in the July heat. With no air conditioning it was nearly unbearable. The accommodation is very small. In fact it really needs to be updated - it is very tired in appearance. One entire sofa was not usuable as the springs were completely broken. One are of the wall was very bubbled with the plaster flaking and coming away (very unattractive to look at). The sofas needed a good wash, they smelt stale and unclean (body odour). The previous occupants were obviously smokers and the stale smell of tobacco was disgusting. I would say the whole place needs to be renovated and much and all as I like the complex, I won't be staying there again unless they do some renovations.

Review of 'EL PALMERAL'
02 June 2006
I think I have already submitted my review, however, should this not be so, I will be happy to supply another. Our holiday really enjoyable and we were sincerely impressed with El Palmeral and will recommend to family and friends that they book one of these bungalows through alpharooms.
Kind regards

Lovely place to stay - would recommend it to anyone wanting to laze and eat well. Sunbeds even have mattresses!!
Only one minor grumble - pool side bar played the same cd back to back all day long until we asked for it to be changed, only to have the next one played back to back!!
We will be going again soon.

Review of 'EL PALMERAL'
20 March 2006
Our fourth visit to El Palmeral the bungalows are very clean the complex is well cared for and the staff (who have all been there many years) are very helpful and friendly. The complex is a short walk from the Faro2 shopping centre where there is a small supermarket and excellent restaurants. The complex is quiet there is a small shop for water milk bread etc. There is a bar that has just been taken over by mew management and they offer a limited menu. We intend returning next year and would not stay anywhere else. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday in the sun this is the place. The walk to the beach takes about 25 minutes but taxis are cheap and plentiful.

The El Palmeral doesn't disappoint - friendly, clean and well cared for. Best of all it's quiet in the evening making it an ideal choice for a relaxing break.
Just one point the kitchenette needed a refurbishment but if you eat out most of the time it shouldn't worry you.
Location is ideal you can walk to the beach and the Faro centre is just 100 yards away.

Review of 'EL PALMERAL'
08 September 2005
We've been to El Palmeral twice now. It's a small and friendly complex with comfortable accommodation, bar area which serves food, shop, internet access and friendly, English speaking staff. It also has a nice, clean fresh water pool. Its close proximity to Fara 2 shopping centre is handy and the dubes, beaches and Playa del Ingles night life are only a short and cheap taxi ride away. Taxi's can be easily flagged down on the road behind the complex or at Faro 2. I would recommend a visit to the Yumbo centre for an evening out and if at all possible hire a car and explore the interior of the island - my favourite part! I'd definitely recommend Gran Canaria and El Palmeral for a great, relaxing family holiday.

Resort staff and location was fantastic. For families it should be considered that when the complex is busy (ie school holidays) there is little space around the pool and the rooms are cramped for 2 adults and 2 children.
Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

Review of 'EL PALMERAL'
26 July 2005
I am just back from my first holiday in Gran Canaria and would love to go again and stay at El Palmeral. It is a beautiful resort with a good size swimming pool, handy to beach shops and restaurants. It also has its own bar with great barmen (Ali and Sergio). A good family resort.

The 'EL PALMERAL'
04 July 2005
I'd never been to Gran Canaria before. After finding the hotel and checking in it seemed really nice. The staff were friendly and where the hotel was situated was perfect. I really enjoyed my stay. It was so near Maspalomas as well just down the road! And a shopping center opposite (faro 2) it was amazing. I'd really recommend this to anyone kids would love it too! Its the best holiday I've been on!!! 10/10
