First Family Holiday

09 July 2008
The hotel itself was lovely, however the rooms were tiny and a cot made them even smaller and the kitchen was not really suitable to be called a kitchen. We ate out everyday and night because of this but be warned the food here is expense, more so than eating in England. The location is perfect and the pool and beach lovely. However I don't think I would return to this hotel or area again.

Good Family Hotel

07 July 2008
We stayed at the Eden Alcudia between 29th June and 6th July. It is an excellent family Aparthotel and very much geared towards families. We were 2 families in 2 one bed apartments. When you book a one bed you actually get 2 studios so we had 4 bathrooms/toilets and kitchens which was great as there were only 5 of us. The only downside was that my 17 year old son was attacked and robbed on the Friday night. He had been to the small strip of bars about 20 mins away from the Hotel. No-one seemed to care and he was missing for 6 hours. He is fine but it could have been a different story. If you are with small children you will be fine, just watch your teenagers in the bars.

Review of Eden Alcudia

16 May 2008
We stayed at this hotel in early May as a group of 3 including a 17 month old. The hotel is in a great location. Its a 20 minute walk to the main area with bars and nightlife but there is also plenty of bars and places to eat by the hotel which are lovely. The beach is gorgeous and is on your doorstep. The entertainment at the hotel is good but is mainly aimed at children (which is great if you take kids, but may be a bit boring if you dont). The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly and its a nice safe environment. The rooms are cleaned every day, apart from thursdays. The only downside is with the room size. They are really are small and we lost even more space by having to have a cot bed for our son. We managed to get some room back by moving things about and putting 2 tables on the balcony. We were self catering but the kitchen area is tiny and consists of a sink, drainer and hob with 2 rings. There isnt really much room to prepare even something simple like a sandwhich. Although there is a fridge you have to hire things such as a kettle and toaster, which I think is con as they advertise as a self catering hotel, but dont really provide anything for you to use. We didnt eat at the hotel but I heard the food there was good. The shuttle bus was ace, nice and quick and I prefered this over a taxi as obvioulsy we wouldnt have a car seat for our son. The cot bed the hotel provided was very clean and in brill condition so if your taking younger children then dont worry about this. I would go back to this part of alcudia again but may try another hotel, mainly because of the room size. However this could be because it rained for 5 days so we spent much more time in there compared to when it was sunny.

First Family Holiday

12 May 2008
We stayed in the Eden Alcudia for 7 nights in May on self catering basis. Before we travelled we emailed the hotel with a few requests as we were travelling with an 8 month old baby. Upon arrival all our requests were met and rooms were basic but nice. The pool area was lovely and the beach was a minute walk away which was lovely golden sand. Evening entertainment was very limited (same guy most nights), it is what you make of it! Resturants next to hotel were lovely with good food and reasonable prices (Smith's bar was a fav round the corner) Many resturants offer evening entertainment as well, bingo, karoke, quiz's. Resort itself was good for families and had all we needed to cater for our first holiday with our 8 month old. We also hired a car for the week which was great as we saw alot of the Island and other resorts we could stay in, in the future. Overall I would return to this resort, and probably the hotel on a self catering basis.

great beach

27 October 2007
We have stayed in Eden Alcudia for 5 nights mid September. The weather was great. + nice, calm location, near a very long, PERFECT beach + nice pool (although too crowded sometimes) + 30 min walk to Alcudia town, along the beach (great walk) + buses from/to Palma stop just in front of the hotel - staff were helpful, but mostly not friendly - you need to pay for dinner drinks, if half-board - we were on half-board. There was a big variety of dishes, but very few for vegetarians like us, and the majority of dishes and sweets were tasteless, although generally looked nice. - we could not find a proper Spanish restaurant nearby. Also couldn't find no proper Spanish music/dancing in Alcudia , which is frustrating - we requested a room with sea view more than 2 months before our travel, but on arrival we were told that somebody payed extra for our sea view room, so we got another, with a "great" view to the road. Overall, GREAT location, GREAT beach, GREAT island, but average hotel. Would definitely go back to Alcudia, but probably try another hotel.

What a lovely place

24 October 2007
I've just returned from a 5 day stay at the Eden Alcudia. It was a really lovely hotel in a brilliant location. Looking around the area you soon realise that it's particularly well situated. The room was really clean, not too small and well kitted out. We took a travel kettle but there is a lot of equipment in the kitchenette so that you can enjoy a few meals in. The pools were very clean and a good size. Somewhat cold for October but there were lots of children having fun in there. It really is a short walk to a beautiful beach. Just next door to a well stocked supermarket and a short walk to various other shops (not that they sell much worth buying!). We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that. The local restaurants are nice enough but not much Spanish food. Might be because it was the end of the season but it seemed a bit low key everywhere. Alucdia town is approx a 10 min taxi ride away but you can walk along the beach (30 mins) to the port. The main town of Alcudia was very pretty with lots of boutique shops and some more Spanish eateries. I would definitely go there again and would feel more than comfortable as a solo traveller here. Not the sort of place to go if you're looking for nights out full of drinking and dancing. The entertainment in the hotel was somewhat questionable. We overheard a Cats performance only to see that the performers were actaully miming (and not very well) but the audience seemed to be enjoying it. There were daily events for children and adults as well. We didn't partake but they seemed popular and the children looked like they were having fun. Overall a brilliant location for the beach, a lovely hotel (though you have to ignore the noise from above of furniture being moved around very early in the morning). Finally the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Just returned from a week at this hotel with my husband and child who is nearly 3. Booked it myself through the internet so didn't know quite what to expect. The Apartment was small but it was big enough for the 3 of us and did not spend too much time in it anyway. The hotel itself was great and was spotless, the staff extremely helpful and the restuarant was nice too (only tried it once). It was the quietier part of Alcudia which we liked with a variety of restaurants (although no Tapas close by!). Although we didn't use it there seemed to be regular public transport. Everything was on our doorstep really and we didn't have to travel far to eat or shop. Swimming pools great for kids and the entertainment was ok too with mini disco for kids and then something for the adults. The beach is right on the door step. It has something for everyone - single; couples or families. The only thing wouldn't recommend is getting a shuttle bus as we were last off and seemed to take forever. On the way back though we were last pick up which was good-certainly the cheaper option as the taxis can be expensive (only cost us £54.00 return for 3 of us). We would recommend for families with smaller children as was safe. Would go back again.

review of Hotel Eden alcudia

22 September 2007
Stayed for 1 wk in Eden alcudia from 15/09/07. We had a roof top studio which was surprisingly big in comparrison to other hotels weve visited. Room was basic but spotlessly clean. air con was brilliant. Best bonus was our own big spacious roof terrace with a sun lounger, table + chairs. The tiling on the terrace was a bit tatty but otherwise ok, In truith the studio + outside space could do with a total revamp, but was great clean basic accom for a week. hotel was lovely, staff friendly + room cleaned daily except Thurs. We went B + B option, a good idea. Cereals , fruit, assortment of breads + jams. Cooked foods were geared more towards the German taste, but boiled , scrambled + fried eggs most days . Grounds + pools nice but a little overcrowded. We have been going to alcudia for many years, and tend to spend most time at the beach. Good restaurants in immediate area , and lots more in resort centre. Overall we had a lovely stay , and would return to Eden Alcudia in the future.

I went on holiday to the Eden Alcudia for 2 weeks in Jul 07 with 3 others all of us 24. It costs 75euros from the airport. The hotel was great the cleaners cleaned everyday (well) except Thurs. Reception were very friendly. The Studio we stayed in initailly we thought was a bit small but we didn't spend much time in it so it didn't matter. The hotel is literally on the beach, which is lovely, boat trips and water sports all available. It is hard to get a bed by the pool unless you get up about 7am. There are beds to hire on the beach for 3.50/day. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. But it is about a minutes walk from varoius bars and restaurants. Or you can walk 15mins for a busier part of alcudia with lots more pubs and bars. There are a couple of clubs including Magic and Bells. The hotel even left a bottle of champagne for one of our birthdays they only knew because of the cards that were up. I would def go back here again.

Review of Eden Alcudia

10 July 2007
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, one aged 13 and the other aged 7 and have just returned from a self catering holiday in the Eden Alcudia. Overall, the hotel is spotless, reception and bar staff friendly and the service is good (you have to pay for toaster and kettle). The apartments are quite smally, we had two connecting studios which is handy because you have two bathrooms! Rooms cleaned every day except Thursday and sheets changed every second day. Proximity to the beach is wonderful. Very safe beach and worth being on, lovely breeze all day. Hotel is very much geared towards the Germans. Entertainment is okay but not great. Sunbed Scramble starts at 07.30 even though sunbeds don't get unlocked until 09.00...guess whose always first down to grab the best locations for their sunbeds!!!! I was very tempted to throw towels into the pool on a number of occasions. Teenage club okay but only if a mixture of nationalities there. 13 year old bored to bits in general no English/Irish/Scottish/Welsh her own age there for duration of our holiday. Junior club was excellent - 7 year old enjoyed it. Food in area okay but go to Puerto de Alcudia or Old Alcudia if you want to experience really decent food. Enjoy.....

Well where do I start, I really can not understand why people are complaining about this hotel. Me and my partner (both 22) think it is one of the best we have stayed in.  There was plenty of day time and evening entertainment that we both took part in.  In the two weeks we stayed in the hotel in June I scuba dived in the pool, played water polo, rifel shooting, archery, bingo, shuffle board, the list goes on.  And the food in the restaurant was A STAR, although some of the food was very different, it was nice to try somthing different on holiday. After all you only go on holiday once a year. The staff were helpful as well.  The holiday didnt get off to a good start as our room had a cot in it,(we dont even have a baby)and the view was of a white brick wall, but determined not to let it spoil our holiday we consulted our rep and halfway through the first week we changed rooms.  And SMITHS is one of the best bar/restaurantes in the resort. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING HERE AT LEAST ONCE!
The only reason why we have given the hotel a 4 out of 5 is the rooms were a bit dark, but once the windows were open it soon changed.

Eden Alcudia was fantastic. It was much more than what we had expected. The location was really nice. The staff were very friendly and told us exactly where to eat and what to do. They had lots of activities for everyone and the bar made a killer sangria!! After coming from Ibiza we didnt think Majorca would cut it but this hotel made it so great for us. I would definitely recommend to stay in Alcudia its absolutely beautiful.

I stayed at this hotel with my mother, daughter, friend and 6 year old daughter and although the ages all varied, all our needs were catered for. The entertainment provided was brilliant for all ages to join in,the location was excellent, just a stroll through the hotel grounds to the beautiful beach with cristal clear sea.The bus stop is just outside the hotel and its just a short bus ride to the port in alcudia but i found the taxis were just as cheap. The resort offers everything that you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, shops ,bars, cafes, watersports, cycle hire, boat trips and many more.

Great location , just 100 metres to the beach.
The appartments are a little dated , but fine. The hotel and facilities are good , the hotel run kids club for kids aged between 4 and 12 keeps them busy for three hours a day and is free.
Plenty of places to eat , shops and bars within easy walking distance. A good selection of local / chinese / pizza / english style restaurants could be found.
The food in the hotel is OK , the snacks and drinks are very reasonably priced.
We had a fantastic holiday here and are already planning to go back next year.

What a fantastic hotel. For the price it's unbeatable. The food fantastic, the staff were first class and very helpful and profesional, the entertainment for the children and for the adults was superb, the location (so close to the wonderful beach) was perfect, even the pools were designed for everybody in mind, different pools for different age groups and experience.
I and my family thoroughlly enjoyed our holiday and it was made extra special with the fact that we stayed in a lovely hotel, totally recommend this hotel in fact I can't think of a bad word to say about it!!
