A very well furnished friendly hotel which is ideally placed for visiting Venice. The room was nice and clean but quite compact but had everything you needed, breakfast was really good.
The access into Venice was really easy by the local bus which stopped straight outside the hotel. Would definately recommend it to anyone wanting a base for visiting Venice and it is really close to Marco Polo airport.

Loved this hotel. Stayed for 8 nights with my husband- we are between ages 29-35. Positives: very good value for money, very clean, beds ok, sheets changed daily (except once), nice clean towels daily. Breakfast ok but too monotonous if staying for longer, friendly & helpful staff, free internet, safe provided in the rooms, only 15 minutes form Marco Polo airport. Bus 15 goes to the airport- very cheap fare.
Negatives: A bit of a way from Venice itself - 30 to 40 minutes on bus 4 or a bit less on bus 19. Bus 19 is less frequent. This wasn't a big issue though.
Would stay at Ducale again because of friendly staff and hotel cleanliness otherwise next time I would stay in Venice for 2 days and pay more to stay in Venice itself.

Very nice hotel. Clean, very pleasant staff, linen and towels changed daily, comfortable beds, good continental breakfast. Easy access from/to airport and Venice by excellent bus services running till after midnight from outside the door. Bought bus tickets valid for three days on arrival at airport. 30-40 mins bus ride to Venice, 10 mins from airport. Only negative - no tea/coffee making in room! Excellent value for three day break.

close to the airport just 1 euro by the bus.The best 3 star hotel I have ever encountered friendly staff clean decor reasonable bar prices. We stayed in Sept 2007 and have rebooked for 2008 the location is perfect just outside the hotel is the bus stop direct to venice 1 euro tickets can be obtained from the reception. The restraunt is good scalapini a must ! see you in September Dave!

We stayed at this hotel at the beggining and end of our trip. The hotel was very nice and what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. They arranged transportation to our cruise ship and the restaurant at the hotel was very good. The hotel is only 4km from the airport although it is about 20€ for a taxi.

'DUCALE' In Venice?

The Hotel Ducale is approx 20 Km from Venice of the waterways- a bus costs €1 and stops near the Hotel. Not a tourist trap - the local bars and restaurants are reasonable and good - if you wish to eat at the Ducale you must have the same meal as your partner - not a good option if you are vegetarian like me. Rooms small but adequate - shower too small for a big man like mine - breakfast typical contintental- average hotel for average price.

Our stay at DUCALE

Not far from the Marco polo airport where we had landed at,The gentleman at the reception upon our arrival was very friendly made us feel very welcome which we needed really after our long flight.The hotel generally was clean oh especially the white towels and the bed linen-the waitresses were nice they all made us feel at home.will recomend the Hotel to everyone.
