The Domus Sessoriana is a very unique hotel, housed within a 2,000 year old Roman building, which was first used as a Roman residence and later transformed into a basilica. Local attractions include the Colliseum and Roman Forum, making it the ideal destination for experiencing this historic city. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is only a 15-20 minute walk from the colosseum and local resturants. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The only two problems we had was our room was facing the main road. It kept us up on the first day few days as we are a light sleeper and the traffic never seem to quieten down. Although after a couple of days of sight seeing we managed to sleep through the traffic noise! The other problem we had was our bathroom was also a little smelly. They weren't major problems and had we asked I am sure the hotel people would have changed our rooms (we went during off peak season).
