It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is only a 15-20 minute walk from the colosseum and local resturants. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The only two problems we had was our room was facing the main road. It kept us up on the first day few days as we are a light sleeper and the traffic never seem to quieten down. Although after a couple of days of sight seeing we managed to sleep through the traffic noise! The other problem we had was our bathroom was also a little smelly. They weren't major problems and had we asked I am sure the hotel people would have changed our rooms (we went during off peak season).

This hotel was such good value for money! When I looked in my guidebook, the church attached to the hotel was a reccommended place of interest! The place is really beautiful, our room was spotless and overlooked the gardens. The reception staff were very friendly too. The hotel is about half a kilometre from the metro station San Giovanni, and so very handy from Termini station if, like us, you wanted to use the terravision service from Ciampino airport. I would definitely go back and will be telling my friends about it.

Beautiful and exeptional place to  stay : a monastry ; be aware it is only a 3 star with good service and buffet breakfast. You miss a cosy bar  to relax
We had 2 large rooms on the first floor ,  big  but only  withe shower . because after a full day walk in the city , I need a good rest and prefer a bath. out  of 5 days  water was was not warm during 2 days . Rooms not perfect cleaned .
We paid prov. € 105 per room include buffet breakfast
Overall a place to go back.The area is an very historic interesting aera in Rome.

Bus 571 in front of the hotel brings you to the center.

Taxis bring you at a fixed rate of 30€ to Ciampino Airport. The hotal asked for 4 persons € 49 , so I phoned dicertly to the same company and reserved a taxi at 7h30  at the fixes rate of 30€. To fiumcino it is 40€ . from the airport to the city it is the same rate  . Rates are appled if your hotel is in the Aurelian walls ( old city = big )Big Advantage  you travel to your hotel entrance.
Discovered a top fish restauranbt at 150 meters  : Octavio  top food and service  , expensive : prox. € 50 per person incl.wine.
In the neiberhoud  also an  an steakhous , Trattoria an new Japanese restaurant , an Typical Italian Bar withe perfect coffe and beer  and  sheap  prices
