Have been going to Portobelo yearly since 1988 and always come back home relaxed and re-charged. We always went in November and stayed in a studio. Plenty room, towels changed every day, clean and well equipped. Some of the staff we have known since they were school leavers and all the staff are always very helpful and well mannered. Vilamoura is a well layed out village with a stunning marina and long clean beaches. There is a market in the next village Quatera on a Wednesday that is worth a visit. There is a good mixture of bars and resturants around the marina and side streets, one of them is the Nineth Hole. or as I have nicknamed the Blue Bar because of the lighting, the staff are the best. The weather is good during the day but need a light jacket or cardigan in the evenings.
